Background to be bashed.

This is my first background (not my first photoshop work) and I would really appreciate coments about it. After I finished (almost, at least) I noticed there's a "yougurt for kids advertising" look on it... the colors? The yellowish sun? Argh! It's much easier to see problems on other people's art.

Note: the greyscaled square is a unfinished portion of it. There'll be more trees, mountains and vegetation in there.

Is that black portion down the bottom the cliff falling away or a shadow?
It looks nice though.
The tree looks 2D at the trunk. Try give it some depth.

Since your looking downwards in the image, add a water or mountain line in the background. It'll look less like a kid's yogurt advertisement.

Really good work!

But I have some suggestions:

1. You can add more rays
2. Remove black border on the trees
3. Bottom of the mountain looks strangely (this bit in shadow)
4. Sky and sun are in diferent style than other but maybe it's calculated effect

I think those are bushes and leaves on trees. It looks odd because the leaves are floating(?) and disconnected from the branch.
Also, the cliff rocks look a bit flat. I mean they don't seem to follow the line of the cliff.
Other than that, it is a pretty background

The tree seems to get lighter around the roots. I think it looks a little off. Great background and I love that grass.
