Ooh really nice ! I like how the laser saber distort himself while the jedi's manipulating it.  :D

How is the stickman animated ? He doesn't seem to be animated with bones, as his head becomes a bit deformed...

I'm impatient to see the full character

You would happen to play Jedi Knight Academy would you?  :)

That was cool... if you are going to replace the stickman with a full character though, I suggest making it a bit longer. No point in making the character go to waste with a 5 second animation...

If you leave the stickman in you could make a kickass flash movie.

Very sweet Cpage. I remember a while back I somebody had a movie where he and a friend where fighting with light sabers. I think it was Trap. Anyway. Looks really good, I'd like to see a full fight scene. How long did it take?

Thanks fo the comments!

1. Yes it will be getting longer
2. My grilfriend is designing a character for it
3. It took about a half hour to get the movement to look right

BTW I remember that movie aswell I dont think it was trap tho.... well I might be wrong.

Speaking of MOHO, I already have a drawn character. It's a bitmap so no vectors. Can I use it with MOHO to animate it? Or do I have to draw it again with MOHO?

I think so, Erwin. Even if it would be able to transform/animate the bitmap, I doubt the edges would stay very clean. But that's coming from someone who used the program a couple of years ago or something. :)

Right, with some features in the new Moho, you can make the image / bitmap layers "automatically warp with the bones to match the shape of the underlying vector shapes". And about the edges, you can use a mask layer to make it cleaner.
I haven't tested these features yet, but there is a tutorial comming with the software which explains how to do it.

I think it needs a bit of work.

Since it's a stick man I can't tell if he's spinning or what so it looks like he awkwardly slashes the saber around in the air.

I think your time would be better spent learning to animate through a series of drawings and not pushing vector points around to try and get a good looking animation.

I don't know what you're planning to do with MoHo and a fully drawn character but if you plan on having him spin or take up any other position that can't be reached through the normal bone manipulation of MoHo you're going to have to draw it anyway.

This animation is a good start but I don't think MoHo is a good way to go for an action such as light saber deuling.
