Hi everyone...
I just painted this background and wanted to know, what people think of it. It is hard for me to tell if it's good or not, because I look at it as the creator and spend alot time painting it.

The background itself resembles a part of the StarWars Jedi Temple as seen in Episodes I-III. It's supposed to be in a Fate of Atlantis kinda style, I did some character-sprites aswell. ;) The programs I used are Photofiltre and Photoshop. Please leave some critics and comments, if you want!

FoA style...? Veredict: Failed. I think that basically because of the use of outlines.

Yeah, it's not quite FoA style (which is hard to copy imo), but I tried my best... and I just like to outline things, dunno why 8).

Looks awesome to me. The only crit I have is why the last two tunnels on the right are so dark. Unless doors are closed and that sunlight is not getting in there.
I am not sure about the perspective either, maybe it' s a bit off, but, since all the elements have not much deep and the whole image is quite "plain", it is hardly noticeable. Anyway, a change in the perspective should be very difficult to fix after this amount of work, I wouldn' t touch it...
Specially since it' s a scrolling screen, the player won' t ever notice it.
It's a good looking background, it seems a little strange around the middle. Actually after the 2nd blue stair(from the left) and before the first big column. But when I zoomed it, it looks cool enough and I say no need to post. Unless someone's do a great edit of your bg.
I don't mean to be that guy, but to me it looks like a tracing of a photo or a render that has been colored. It looks good, don't get me wrong, I'm just curious if this is something completely original?

@ Nacho & Evil: I took some screenshots from the Episode II Movie, made a black n' white outline-scetch of it and recolored it. That might be the reason the perspective is a bit odd, because it's actualy 2 frameshots combined to one. So I can say, that the basic perspective and outlines are not my creation, but the rest is. I hope that answers your questions ;).
