Title: Taxi needs help
Post by: gameboy on Sun 08/01/2006 15:12:05
I've made another bg for my Tallinn-game. It's a picture of a cab driving around (in the game's intro), where two guys will be sittin in and talking. I'll add the characters later, but the question is, how can I improve the taxi? And what should I do with the interior?
If you think it can be changed better then please, help.

All paintorvers are welcome.
Thanks for any help!

Make the rear part much bigger. The angle suggests a frontal high camera, but more of the back should be seen.

Hmm your car is out of perspective.
One good solution will be tracing an image of a real car from the angle you want. There are tutorials about tracing sprites. Here's an example of a traced sprite:

I'd say, make the rear slightly longer, but also less wide.

Tracing an image from a real car picture is a good idea, but... I searched through the whole Google Images and found NO pictures of a 90s model of Opel Omega from that angle. :(

Anyways I'll try to make the trunk longer, yes, that would really make it much better.
