Hey! I have been doing a game called Terminal Department. I had a character called The One, but people convinced me to change it into something else so say hello to GameMaster! Tell me what you think about the name or about the story.
The story of the game:
The story is still mostly unfinished. You wake up in a strange corridor and you don't remember anything. Not even your name or your place of birth. Soon you find out that you don't really exist. You are just part of a computer game made by some mysterious man that people call the GameMaster (formerly known as the One). You know there is a real world out there and you wish you could go there. Rumor says that The GameMaster is in this game too. You start looking out for him and hope to find a way out... Unfortunately The GameMaster has something else in mind for you and for that game you are in.
I have a website at http://koivula-games.port5.com
I love this game idea
I like the idea. It reminds me of a movie I saw once (can't remember the name). It was about a real person who went into a computer game and had the escape again.
I prefer the name TheOne. It sounds much better than the GameMaster, but actually both names are good. You could use them both, like some people call him TheOne and some call him GameMaster. You could even make a (simple) puzzle out of it, like the main character getting confused about these different names and he has to find out that it is just one person.
BTW: You've got a nice website. ;)

I think the movie you're refering to is Tron. The movie was made in the 80s I think.
The movie was about a video game programmer who got zapped into a computer system and had to escape before the enemy "programs" would "delete" him or something.
The general concept also sound a bit like a Canadian-made cartoon called "ReBoot" (save for the amnesia stuff) that was done entirely with computer graphics (one of the very first TV series to do so). It was pretty spiffy, especially for its time, and even more so in the later episodes.
In the show, some main characters "battled" occasionally in various types of games against some vague entity they called "The User". There were also a number of other entities within the Mainfram world (where the show to place) and most of them had computery names, like Hexadecimal, Hack, Slash, Glitch, etc.
I'd suggest downloading a few episodes HUrdenomUn, if you aren't familiar with it (if for no other reason than to consciously avoid "copying" any of the show's ideas).
Ozwalled: Could you give me a web site where I could get some of those comics?
Aaaahh Reboot those were the days. I used to absolutley love that show!! (about 7 or 8 years ago ;D)

oh man, reboot, that brings back memories lol but HUrdenomUn, that does sound like an interesting idea for a game ;D
Well, as I said, it's a TV show, not a comic (unless you meant cartoon).
Anyway, I'm not sure where you can get episodes. I'd suggest looking around in Kazaa and stuff and you might strike it lucky.
Otherwise, here's a few sites about the show:
