Title: The Joker portrait
Post by: Kaio on Wed 05/08/2009 15:03:36
Hey,

I am currently trying to find a good portrait style for low-res adventures. I did the portrait itself on a higher resolution and restricted the size and colours afterwards. Does it look OK for a game already? Or would I need to edit the picture a bit more?

Oh, here's the picture, btw:

You also can give me C&C on the portrait itself, of course. :)

Thanks, Kaio

I think its almost ready for a game. Just clear up the outlines on the body (for example so the outline doesn't end before pictures edge) and add some detail to the hair.

I think you captured the character very well here (one could say that it's easy with such an iconic character, but I know better), and I'd love to see this in-game. Obviously you will need all the joker-themed action verbs, like "act batshit insane", "make up history of the scars" and "cross the line twice".
Would make for some interesting puzzles  ;)

Love this idea.

Loads of stands of thinner hair into his do' and it's perfect IMO.
Hair looks kind of unbalanced and bold right now, compared to rest.
