My 3D craze continues!
This time, I started on a secret lab. Problem is, I don't know how to fill this room!
So ideas (that I could follow with my weak modelling skills) would be appreciated.

Don't pay attention to disappearing wires and bad shadows yet, they'll be fixed in final renders.

Closeup on crappy modelling... I really should redo the ghostly keyboard...

About the ghostly keyboard, have you seen this?

Illustrious

I think you should quit playing yourself down, you have good modelling skills and you can only improve.
Anyway...
To suggest anything for your room I need to first know what the lab is researching or developing, I would guess you would fill it with more desks or counters and cupboards with all manners of electronic and futuristic equipment in them.
Maybe some contraptions protruding from the floor, Im sure your imagination could fill this room tenfold.
I think your keyboard looks cool.

Goodluck!

I understand that you can't go into tiny details but it might give you some ideas.

here is something that comes up when discussing lighting for interior design. lights mounted in the room as you have give great downward lighting however the roof is not lit by the lights as you see here. typically the roof is lit by the light bouncing off the ground and walls in 3d this is done by putting fake lights under the floor pointing back up to the roof or by using GI which will do it automatically. the quality of that bounced light is also related to the coloring of the floor and walls. the darker the surfaces the less light your roof gets and the darker your room feels overall. when using GI its been a problem when dealing with bounced light. vray has a work around for it in the full version. i had a tutorial on how to fix it before the official work around was implemented into it.
to brighten this image up i had to use my method since i did this before the work around was implemented.

I'm planning using GI for final render, to smooth out these shadows and lit dark areas. So fake lights are probably not needed.

I'm satisfied with my modelling when I am able to model something organic besides simpler plants. Like an animal or a human. Currently, all I can do is boxes and cylinders. Thanks anyway :D

Sorry for the wow post, but Increator, your 3D is really awesome! Goodluck with the future 3D games, I'm looking forward to them.

I find filling a room can be a nightmare, especially if you want it to contain objects beyond the usual chair/table/sofa,etc.

If this is a secret lab then some kind of weird machine to dominate the middle of the room might help, and you could base the rest of the room around it.

Good work so far. :)

If you're creating the lair of a cartoon mad scientist, here are a few classic prop suggestions:
oversized electrodes with electricity arcing between them
laboratory glassware, especially glassware filled with colored fluids or suspended organs
operating tables
large adjustable overhead lights, like the ones you see at the dentist's office
magnets
surgical tools

Your previous background turned out quite nicely. Have fun with this one!

and dont forget to check out http://www.turbosquid.com for models. when you sign up and do a search on an item make sure that you click on sort by lower prices. this will sort it so the free models (if there are any) are shown before the rest.

Did you make any sketches of the room before you started modelling? If not, you allways should.
Makes the modelling prosess easyer when you have decided what to model and where in the paper.
I think you should add some polys to some of the most round objects, or at least some surface smoothing so the edges dont show up so easily. Your style is bit off in this, since the desk and the computer is all scifi and the rest is trying to be cartoony.

Thanks, I'll try these suggestions. Posting new version soon.
