I was doing this background
but I want the grass to look more realistic

800k

the background is not complete

Use Photoshops' grass brush (112 pixel size), set the size to 1 pixel, select two grass-like greens (one light, one dark), set the brush to Dissolve, 20% and then paint over the grass. Then repeat this with other shades (like light brown for faded/dried grass, etc.)

That should help making it look more realistic, but I don't know if this is what you're looking for.

hey, looks great. looks 3d. hey, you should make it a bit more colourful. just adjust the brightness and contrast a bit. not sure about grass though. im not good enough to help you there.  ;D

that is awesome! I love it. I not an expert on grass, sorry. just wondering why that house most left is cut off? You can really make this an outstanding picture.

I took a quick stab at it ...

I used a brush in Photoshop (as Traveler suggested).  Used several layers of varying size and scattter, as well as color and contrast.  Then combined them all and "faded" it out a bit towards the horizon (using a layer mask).

It could look better, but I didn't spend that long  on it.  Just wanted to give you some ideas.

Oh ... and I added the sky.  Wasn't sure you needed help there, but the image needed it I felt :)

It looks like a background from the movie, "The Village".  Which is a good thing!

Hope it helped!

Yeh, do like Darth did, but

* Use 100% opacity brush, preferrably not-antialiased so grass wouldn't look so blurry
* Use your-styled low-saturation greens, instead of so lime one

Actually, I did do that ;)

I resized the image to make it smaller (file size).  And it blurred it in the process.

exsecratus - glad you found it usefull!  Good luck in your attempt!
