This is a quick mock up I made just to see how the game elements and style go together. It's a Western/Sci-Fi/Dark Comedy game. Well, it's about cowboys on mars. It IS supposed to be a dark, lonesome game, but in my opinion the mock up ended up being TOO DARK in terms of atmosphere... My main concern is with the color scheme, most of the thing will be made of wood, therefore brown, on mars, brown/red. I don't know what to do to add more color.

Does it looks that bad?

COWBOYS IN SPAAAAACE!!

But seriously, I love the concept :D I don't think it's too bad. I mean, it's cowboys on Mars, you've gotten your colour scheme right there. Browns/Reds. But it's not to say you can'u add a bit of colour here and there with your characters, towns to modes of transport.(If you end up having them) If you tweak it around a touch I'm sure you'll find something you like. But from your mock up, I don't mind it at all. Can't wait to see more on this.

Here's an updated version, with more blacks, in my opinion it looks better, and I'm starting to like the color scheme anyway, nads is right, I should make it so that the characters and interactive objects have more varied color/saturation.

I think that's better - the different elements blend together better now.

To me it still looks a little more like what I'd expect in maybe a horror game, but it depends on how dark you want to go and of course visuals are only a part of the whole atmosphere.

Looks good, anyway.  Interesting game concept too!  ;-D

It's ok. Where'd you get the wood though?
