Title: Too toones.
Post by: Flippy_D on Tue 01/02/2005 19:52:48
A hearty-har for rubbish phonetics.

Creepout.mid (http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/CREEPOUT.MID).

Cavey/creepy/icy feel? Your comment here!

And Drifter.mid (http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/DRIFTER.MID)

Quicktime is as ever a defiler of any MIDIs, so right click and download for optimal listening goodnessousity.

I think it somewhat resembles FF6 stuff, but that's unintentional. Do feel free to tell me what you think.

Which means replying. There's a good bunch of wenches.

(PS: I know they're both 3/4. It's a coincidence!)

Edit: Go me! I managed to post the same tune from my previous post! I got a little confused :(

Excellent works of tunage, Flippy. Very reminiscent of the music that accompanied many of the great SNES RPG's, specifically being (as you mentioned) the ones produced by Square. I especially like the Drifter midi, which has a very relaxing pace to it and gives a good sense of implied atmosphere.

Awesome quality all round. Looking forward to hearing more of your works in the future.

Okay... I guess my music isn't worth commenting on. Here's another one.

Crypt.mid (http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/CRYPT.MID)

Loops strangely, but I think it works. I particularly like the ocarina and its echoes.

Comments/crits?

The background noise in the Crypt MID seems kinda annoying to me, but you know the drill with different sound cards.

Drifter is my favorite of the three, though Creepy sounds vaguely familiar.
