I made a short, 30second looping theme imitating the Game Boy/Nintendo. Can you critique it?

Wow.  Wow.  That was amazing, I could actually see Mario running past lava and chains!!!  What program did you use to make this???  I must hear more, that was simply amazing!!!  Could I use it in my game perhaps (see the Batling:  Rise to Power thread)????

Akumayo: I used 'Visual AGI' Sound Editor (Final Beta) to create the melody, then exported it as a MIDI, with some final editing in Evolution Sound Studio. I've found that this method allows anyone to create nice sounds, even if they are a little primitive (only three channels, remember.) This one was created with very little effort on my part.

Unfortunately, this piece of music is tied to something, but I'd be more than happy to make some music for your game. Just PM me how you would like it to sound (soft, harsh, frantic, peaceful for example). And I'll do my best! Okay? =]

And yes, it was created for an RPGish thing! ^^

Nice little tune, I can imagine playing gameboy with it. Keep it up!

Sounds cool, but is it only me, or does it seem a little out of time?

ok time for my critiques.

my first and most important suggestioin would be to go to a music shop and get some music making software such as fruity loops or reason. They are relitivly cheap and will bring your music to the next level.

the sounds you used are extremly jarring to the ear. The levels are way to loud and don't sound natural at all.

The bass in this is the same thing over and over and over again. I really don't like it when artist do that. You should make each and every instrument change constantly thoughout a song.

i feel so bad for saying all that but i believe good critiques are better and healthier for the artist then "that was good"
