Title: WalkCycle C&C please
Post by: Floskfinger on Fri 22/07/2005 16:21:38

So I'm trying to make characters and BGin a diffrent style then I'm used to (More comic/less detail) and I came up with this character: (http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/pojke2.gif)
What do you think? Is the Style cool and what about the animation? I'd love some ideas on how to make it better!

Well, its going to need some shading, but i'm not at liberty to do a mockup right now. I'm sure someone will come in and help you out on that one.

Also, you need to shift the arms forward and back some, even though they are in pockets. Pretty much just shift the elbows, and the arms to follow them. I guess walk in front of a mirror and see how it works. You'll see that your right arm will shift forward as your left leg goes forward.

Thanx! I'll try to make him move his elbows but I don't know about the shading. I'm aiming for a more minimalistic style (The use of colours).

that's great! But it bothers me that the thumb on his hand (on the other side) doesn't move at all compared the the on facing us.

The arms are supposed to move in all frames, not just a couple of frames during the whole animation. I think...
