(Web) design for weblog application

I'm happy with it as it is, but I've been chafing away at it for an hour or 7 now, so I'm not objective.

Any comments & criticisms?

I suggest color. Gray is so... miserable.

Okay, the colour suggestion I can see, but why do you offer an example shot with pastel colours?  :o

Because they look cool? A bit girlish and well... for a blog page, they fit like a glove, IMO. I just tried random colors to make something comparable.

I suggest color, because white font isn't quite readable from light-gray-gradient background. I mean, it IS readable, but not comfortable to read.

On the contrary I quite like the grey color scheme. Inc's color's look just a bit too child-like and as he says, girly (no offense increator).

Well, it's very neutral and minimalistic, but I guess a lot of interesting content would make up for it :-) 

* Maybe a subtle off-gray would be more interesting than the grey that's there now? Even one of the pastels, but maybe just pick one or it'll look like my little pony.

* I think the bright yellow on white is a bit hard to read.

* Also, I don't like that the top-graphic goes off the top of the screen. Makes me wanna scroll up, even when there's nothing there, but maybe that's just me.

But nice clean overall impression, and nice font.
