Hey Guys,

Was just trying a few new things out in photoshop...

Anybody got some C&C?

The text is very sketchy, and I haven't had time to add a border... those problems I'm aware of...!

Mouth for war

It looks really really good...very professional...I have no complaints :)
mass genocide is the most exhausting activity one can engage in, next to soccer

You need to clarify what you have done here. Did you model the soldier? Did you draw the background?

hedgefield

The soldier and the background art are from the game Killzone. That being clarified I think it looks pretty nice, I like the red tinting. Perhaps the Killzone font could be a little bit bigger.

Sean

@ War - Thanks dude  ;D

@ Andail - Here's your clarification..

@ Largo - Thanks for clearing up :) Yeh, the font could do with an enlargement!

I'll post up when I've got something more!

MrColossal

there's a huge area of absolutely nothing in the upper left.

The killzone text is super tiny and red so it just disappears into the image and instead of being an advert for the game it's just a red image with a red soldier on it.

In my opinion it's also way too huge. 640x230 for a banner? Like for use as an advert for a website I guess it could work after a lot of work to actually show off more of the game  but if it's just a sig image, holy crap huge!
"This must be a good time to live in, since Eric bothers to stay here at all"-CJ also: ACHTUNG FRANZ!

IF it's a signature banner, then I'd really prefer it like this:

Not only because of the size, but also now it doesn't look so empty. It looks cool though. Nice job! :)

Pablo's got the right idea ... there is nothing more annoying than a sig file that takes up a lot of room.

I have visited forums that don't restrict the sigs and you spend 90% of the time on a thread trying to sort out the actual posts from the cluttered/crap sig files.

Extremely annoying.

Sean

Hey, I already knew that :P

I hate big "in your face" sigs, and stick to a pretty modest 400x80 for all of mine!

This doesn't serve any purpose, other than experimentation. That's why the dimensions are slightly off!

Also, It's good practice to make Sig Graphics larger than you need. That way, you can pick out super interesting parts of the image.. and fit them into your "sig border". That usually gives you a nifty image at the end of it!

Anyhoo, thanks for the comments guys!

I'll keep em in mind for the next one!
