I made a few versions of my title screen, just changing color schemes and whatnot. It takes place in a fairly typical fantasy setting.
Comments? Suggestions?

I'd go for the sepia variant. It looks more interesting (or "classy"?) than the black-and-white one. I am not too sure about the coloured version; it's probably just me but I don't like the red ink.
++ What Ghost said
Mostly agreed with above comments, the sepia surely looks the best, but is the red ink intended to symbolise blood or the like? In that case the grayscale and the sepia ones sort of lose some of the messages that are supposed to be delivered. I don't know how to fix this though.
One other problem is that the feather pen stands out the least in the sepia version. It stands out very well in the colour version, and is still good in the grayscale one, but pretty much buried in the sepia version. I think you may try to increase the contrast of that pen in the sepia version(so that dark shades become even darker) to make it stand out more.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to miss around with the sepia's contrast a little.
Also I forgot to add shading to the background paper on the colored version  I'll change that to make it not as bright
you could always use the sepia version but go back and re-add the blood coloring. I think that would have a nice effect.
I prefer the colored version.
Just the writings should altered to look the same age (darker and with spots, maybe a bit faded).
And because of the feather I'd expect to read something that is written in a font similar to a handwriting.
The first Line is okay, but the rest is destructing the harmony - but that' only for my taste.
Tabata made some really good points there. Amazing what a good tester notices.
The problem with handwriting fonts is that they're sometimes hard to read.
The quill was just a last minute thing i threw in there to make it more interesting, same with the ink splotches, guess i wasn't thinking about whether it all made sense :-\
Try to combine the color version in an overlay or multiply (or other PS effect) layer over the sephia version.
Also see how the Path has the ink spot on the end, well compared to that "h" everything else looks too clean, add a bit of very small imperfections on the letters so they're kind of more ragged and imperfect.
I don't have access to PS right now so i can only make a few basic changes right now. Right now i'm just trying some small variants
Sepia: brighter, removed noise, added some red. Not sure if i like it

I actually liked the feel of the paper more in the coloured version then the sepia one. I like that you get more of the texture.
And I would take a look at the shadowing of the feather pen. It feels a bit like it's hovering.
But overall a really nice title screen!
Oh. But maybe it's supposed to hover. Then, my bad.
