*drawer problem fixed*
Here is another background I am working on, it's still unfinished because there seems to be something wrong with the perspective. I got different vanishing points that are crossing in the center of the picture. Especially the cupboard and its drawers look weird to me (take a look at the pictures with different positions of opened and closed drawers).
Et voilá:

and here are the different combinations of drawer positions:

I made a scheme of the vanishing points in this picture, you can get it here (http://www.2dadventure.com/ags/poe_floor004(lines).png).
The missing vanishing point isn't always such a big deal, especially not with rooms this wide.
I definitely think this background works.
Two small things:
* The top of the opening to the left could be adjusted to match the angle of the door to the right.
* The whole background is cropped a bit too tight above the doors. Some more white would have been preferable, but not necessary.
Yes, the open drawers really look bad. I think you should rotate the central line of the drawer a bit (to the right) and the other line to the left.
Damn, my english makes it difficult for me to be clearer....
Let's see:

Mmhh... not so clear anyway.
Well, anyway the bg is quite good, apart from this.
P.S. To the left, are there stairs, or a blacony? If it's a balcony, the railing looks weird, if there are stairs, the wall colour is very strange.
Looks ok to me. Of course, it would look most natural if the vanishing point was the same. As they are not, the rightmost door and the cupboard look a bit off.
One thing, the doors now look huge. Make the appearance smaller by taking one pixel off all sides of the door frames. Take one pixel off the rightmost door's frame's depth.
Another smaller thing is the case with the plant and the painting. Don't give the plant's stem the same color as the painting's. Basically, try to make the plant more important than the painting. One way would be to make the painting another color and remove the dark pixels from it.
Alright, I made an edit and finally fixed the problem by removing 1 px from the outside of the drawers. I also worked on different things like shading, materials (pixel textures) and so on.
What do you think?

Now that looks very good. Really great improvement in the edit. Still the cupboard seems to be little off perspective. But not badly.
I changed the perspective of the drawers a bit... Maybe it went too low though...

Thanks, Ishmael!
I did an edit myself and I don't know if it's correct but it seems to be more realistic than the first one:

A pixel or two down, I'd say... mine is a bit under and your's a bit over the perspective of the rightmost door and the staircase... I think it would look good with the same perspective...
----- EDIT -----
Here, the original and my edit. I took the perspective point from the door and stairway, and drew the lines to the drawer...

ok, here is my hopefully last edit to the cupboard.
I just added an extra line to your first edit, Ishmael.

There's nothing I would really change any more if I were you. It looks very good right now. Good job! :)
Agreed :)
alright, then thank both of you for your replies and for your help! :)
Wait, i think the door on the right wall is a bit too wide...
