Title: WIP - ship deck
Post by: Dave Gilbert on Sun 08/01/2006 21:43:46
I'm on a roll.

Thanks everyone who helped me with my last BG.  Here's another one.  I'm hoping to use these BGs in the january Mags comp.

Anyway, this is the deck of the ship:

Simple, but I'm under a deadline. :)  Any advice appreciated.

I think it looks good as it is, but a bit more detail in the floor, I don't know if it is wood, or what. ??? Also if you could bring the box on the left into view a bit more, and mybe have something on the right, like and outdoor table and chairs.
Hope I helped.

If this is for the same cruise-liner as in your previous BG, it needs to be a lot wider I guess. And most (metal) ships are painted white inside - so I'd turn the brown areas into white and pale greys. But that's just my 20 cents. The dark "hallway silhouette" is very effective. Nice BG!

Thanks.  Wider is good advice.  And yeah, I realized this morning that the backgrounds should be white!  The ship exterior BG I posted here is white also. Doh!  This is what happens when I'm rushed.  I'll post updated versions soon.
