Sam.

Some of you may remember me doing this website in a few different iterations. Im trying to not make it look "web 2.0" but i want it to look clean, modern and stylish, as well as looking a bit trendy.

I like the general direction but it might be a bit boring?

(this is as a replacement for the website of a radio station, current site being http://www.livewire1350.com/ )

Bye bye thankyou I love you.

I don't really think it looks modern.  It looks more like a 50's/60's vintage car appreciation website to be honest, not that that's a bad thing.  I think the design is quite nice, but it doesn't really evoke either a modern design or a radio station.  Maybe your imagery could focus on audio recording/mastering equipment and use some darker colors (maybe some blacks) to break up all of the white?  The current version actually looks more appropriate, but that's just my opinion.

..

Just a few tips on making it a bit more 'modern'

Modern websites tend to be a lot wider, so if you can I'd make it so otherwise you'll end up with quite a lot of white space.

Also, there's quite a bright and quirky logo, maybe bleed this into some of the other design elements, like the buttons and the titles in the content, because at the moment it looks a bit too greyscale from the top down.

I'd also make the green where you've got 'names here' more flourescent to match the logo.  Pink and green are opposites and thus actually work quite well together in this context... just personal preference but I'd probably make the circles in the picture one of these two colours as well just to create a recurring theme.

Good work so far, would love to see what you come up with.
