well, i found the font difficult to read. I find the colours unappealing and the positioning of games bothers me because it's not central of the top two words

how about something like this?

font from http://www.halloweenfonts.com/ and with a slight red outer glow

PsychicHeart

WICKED! wait, gimme another 5 or 10 minutes, i'll give it another shot.

Try adding a graphic logo too (a symbol of some sort). Plain text is not very striking.
Diversity is divine!

PsychicHeart

okay, for some reason (i don't know what it is, seeing as i'm not the head of the group), we have changed our name to Superstar Games. Cliche or what?
Anyhoo, what do you think of this?

I feel like there is something missing.

Maybe making your logo mspaint style isn't that good idea. And you definitely should make it smaller, more compact. And decide a name first, then start working on the logo.

I'll provide with an example (shameless plug, but atleast I know how this one works).

Here's my logo:

And here you can see how it fits into the page: http://www.trail-of-dead.net
(The logo on the front page is the actual logo, the one I posted is just the navig heading, to be exact.)

The logo is simple, but it's done in my style, using a few photoshop tricks (the edges of the letters), and I designed it right from the start to fit the page. Your logos seem a bit just scraped up with a few mouse clicks and some typing. I suggest you get a pen and paper and do some scribblings about what you want the logo to look like, what you want the letters to be like, etc. I designed a band logo in that manner, and I'm happy with it. That logo is also fitted into the webpage I'm making. The key in everything you do around AGS is planning.
I used to make games but then I took an IRC in the knee.

<Calin> Ishmael looks awesome all the time

Hi there.

Here's just a quick idea. I kinda like the symbol. The words still suck.

Aww, whatever, you changed your name anyways...

That was fun.  ;D

Das Plans

Yep!

Guess, I have too much spare time. Just doodling around. Here you go...

What, too sophisticated?

See you...

Whatever happened to that guy who used to do alot of logo's for people. I wish i could remember his name. But he is a forum member here and would take requests. That guy did some great work with logo's and would also design people's logo's without asking for a cent. Does anybody remember him. It could have been penguinX or something similar. Maybe i should try to find that thread.

If possible, use vector graphics (not familiar enough with PSP8 to know if it has it), that way you can resize to avatar-size or web-page background without any degradation in lines.  With a rasterized (like MS-Paint) drawing, it'll get nasty-pixelly when it's large and a bit messed up in smaller sizes.

For a superstar logo, why not try something a little stylized? Herr Stein's logo's quite fetching, but I could potentially see it as a Rockstar knock-off - not because of the style, just that the similar wording is emphasized.  You could grab a font you like, use PSP to rotate text into a star-shape and communicate both wording and graphical logo.  Using rotated text and keeping a PSP savefile, you'd be able to resize it freely as well.

Yeah, good old times, PenguinX was awesome member. He made also lots of cool isometric graphics. It's a shame he left!
