Attempt at a Decent Background (Color)

Okay, been slowly working on it... whatcha think?
I think that I should go with colored pencil because it's what I know. LOL I'm not that good with computer art.

Actually that background looks really good. Apart from those horid smears around the edges. Learn to color in the lines!

Another thing it looks like its outside (it might be :S) the carpet looks like grass.

I can't figure out if the colour leaking out of the lines adds or takes away from the image. I love the monitor - lovely shading - I mean REAL nice.
I can't figure out what is to the right of the desk - is that a dog's bowl? What's holding up the tabley thing above it?

Scuthbert: I am coloring in the lines where it needs to be. It's a work in progress.. as in.. not done yet. I'll clean up the outside lines later.. maybe. And the carpet looks like grass??? Damn, I kinda liked the slightly shaggy look to the carpet myself.   

Johnny: I also can't tell if the leaking color gives or takes. One minute I love the sketchy look and the messy artistic chaos and then the next minute I like the cleaner look.   
As for the table-looking thing. It's a snake tank to the right of the desk with a hide and a water bowl. This is a work in progress remember please.

Did you do the outlines in flash? It would seem so, but I like flash so it wouldn't really matter. For the grassy floor I'd suggest you colour it, and if it still looks like grass... then I gusee you'll have to make it less shaggy.

Haddas: No, it's not done with Flash. I don't know (or care) how to use Flash. These are just lines in PSP7. You might be referring to the vector look? I used vector lines sometimes to get good curves on some things since my tablet broke.  :'(
