Hi, I have been thinking about adding Windows Engine for 64-bit Windows in the Editor. Currently it's only available for 32-bit. What's the general sense here, can we entirely move to 64-bit? Are people ok rebuilding their plugins for 64-bit in Windows? Or is 32-bit needed to be maintained for some compatibility reason? Like, can proton work in 64-bit Windows binaries?

Another proposal is to drop windows 32-bits binary entirely and move for 64-bit only. The only disadvantage is people need to rebuild their engine plugins for 64-bit.

Would devs here be fine with this if this was done in a next AGS version? What is the general feel here. The advantage of moving to 64-bit only on Windows is basically reduced efforts on maintenance and building an Editor from source - one doesn't need the intermediary combinations and testing additionally the 32-bit windows platform.

I had an opinion that 64-bit engine should be made default, and 32-bit provided as an option which is not enabled to build by default, in case someone would like to build for 32-bit systems too.

Also we could still provide a separate 32-bit engine for download for the time being, in case someone would want to package a game with 32-bit exe by hand.
