*sigh* go ahead and add me to the list of people who clicked the refresh button 20 times per hour for the past few days. I sure hope we get to enjoy the boards a little while before they decide to go down again.

Maybe we should have a backup forum we can all temporarily retreat to if such an unfortunate event should occur?

How about simply hijacking meeting in an other forum during such a period

(and start a thread for lonesome AGS-ers over there)

Grim

Oh, thank God, the forums are back!

It felt like there was a hole inside of me I couldn't fill...

Strange, considering I don't post often... But I read others posts all the time.

During this downtime I found myself reading Skyrim Wiki. At least now I know how to join the Dark Brotherhood! ;) ---> Unsuspecting folks of Skyrim- beware! ;)

Stupot

Missed you guys, but I did seem to get a fair bit more uni work done this week than usual.
Maybe just a coincidence.

Also, I finally got around to starting Telltale's Sam and Max Season 1 which I bought yonks ago on steam.

Dear AGS Forums,
Plz stay online forever.

Your best buddy,

Domino

We could also create a Facebook AGS Forums page and all meet in there..if the forums go down again.

Just an Idea...

mkennedy

Hopefully whatever caused the forums to go down has been fixed. It would be sad if they were to go down again. So does anybody know what happened and why they were down?  ???

There's one actually. Last update : August 5th 2010
"I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe. Destroyed pigeon nests on the roof of the toolshed. I watched dead mice glitter in the dark, near the rain gutter trap.
All those moments... will be lost... in time, like tears... in... rain."

Productivity has been up, morale has been down.
I've been going through withdrawal the past few days.  :=

But I'm not on the MyFace webs! :P

Baron

I say we form a secret society of AGSers to raise funds for a new AGS server.  Here me out, friends: reliable up-time, the fuzzy feeling of helping your community, and I'm sure we could throw game-making in there somewhere.  Who's with me?

Baron: Absolutely! Great idea! Why has no-one thought of that before! Count me in! I already got some leather pants too! We could, like, SELL GAMES WE'VE MADE!

Here are some candidate sites:

The Any Given Saturday (AGS) Forum

The Association of Georgia Surveyors (AGS) Forum (actually, through some sort of parallel irony, this forum is also down at the moment)

The Alagille Syndrome (AGS) Alliance Forum

The Association of Geotechnical & Geoenvironmental Specialists (AGS) Forum

And my personal favourite......

The American Gerbil Association (AGS) Forum

See you there next time BigBlueCup isn't BigBlueUp!

Dualnames

I prefer any given sunday. So yeah.
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

I guess all you productive supergeniuses never need to look up a coding issue on the forums? I usually can't go more than an hour of programming without a "now how am I supposed to...?"

Heh! Not being able to ask how to achieve certain codes would be a real nightmare without these forums  :)

It's fantastic at what you can achieve with a game when you know how  ;)

Gotta keep our spirits up!
