I think that's kind of bad. I like it as a small community, but most people never post here, so it doesn't matter.
Well Quickstrike... For me it´s quite important to reach 1,000, I was looking forward to it last week. With more members, the "posters", the artists and the game producers number will raise.
With a big comunity you do still have the chance to stay in small groups.
The 1000th member is a success for CJ, AGS and the cummunity.

I'm just saying that more people are gaining intrest in such things and we get new people to make games and say "They have the number one game in the world and I know them!"... Well I am excited...
I like thinking I know who the bloke who made Rob blanc is and all those other game while looking a t Freeware sites :)

er.....I looked earlier, and it said 1002, and I just checked, and now it says 1000. :-\
If somebody doesn't log into the forums for 8 months, their account gets deleted. Thus, occasionally the number of users goes down when this happens. Don't worry, it's not a bug.
According to mine it says the 1000th member is King_Crimson ... but whoever the 1000th is, welcome aboard! I've been waiting 2 weeks for this and someone else posted it first! LOL.
Anyway, glad to see we've hit 1000. Here's to another 1000.

the problem is that if you look at the forums, you can see around 35-40 making sensible, funny and thoughtful posts...
so what are the other 960 up to?
We currently have 1004 members, of which 499 have 5 posts or less - that's 50%
Only 200 members have made 50 posts or more, which shows you about the proportion that we can call 'active'.
Amazingly, there are 153 registered members who have never made a single post. (There are other possible reasons for this though, such as the fact that you have to register to post a comment on the Games page).
But that 1004 does include me...
If 153 members have not made a single post, it means that they have nothing to say, which is fine by me. I'd rather that they didn't make stupid comments at every single oppurtunity & just got back to their Counter-Strike boards shouting ROFL!11!HARHARHAR!11!!1
I'll bet that most of these members downloaded AGS with every intention of making a game & registered on the boards before even trying it out. When they realised just how much effort it takes to create an adventure game they just lost patience & forgot about it.
