Yo Chaps hope everyone's well

    Lately i have had a number of different people asking me how to get rid of random virus' etc so i though what the heck i'l write a bit of info as to what i would do (Please note that my computers are all virus trojan etc free and have been that way for a long time)

>>>   first step familarise yourself with diffent types of virus' and adware
Note try reading up on different types on google, Find out what these things do
>>>  Download an anti-adware package I strongly advise Spybot Search and destroy Which is completely free
>>> Download a program called CCLeaner This is also completly free
>>> Install these packages
>>> update them both this may take time   **To update Spybot click the update section Search for updates and download them using the appropriate mirror
>>> Immunise your system from current Bugs click the immunise tab in Spybot Search and Destroy then click immunise
>>> Search for Problems by clicking the relevant buttons in Spybot
>>> Once it heas found problems Click Fix Selected Problems
>>> Run CCLeaner this will do alot for the space on your computer as it usually clears about 600mb on your system including Temp internet files Cookies and your recycle bin (also temp files from programmes such as Adobe Photoshop and others )
     *** Note this program can also tidy up your startup stuff reducing bootup time *** Advanced Users may like that function
>>> Run system clean up on your pc this is in your system tools.
>>> Run System De Frag *** this helps the hard drives indexing and helps speed up program start ups

>>> Reset your System

>>> Chill with a can of coke or your favourite beverage  as now your system is completly bug free

***tried and tested by many of my friends *** and 1 or 2 businesses

Things to remember

Update Spybot twice a month as this will help you get no bugs
Immunise Using Spybot This will prevent the things getting in and improve your privacy
Run Defrag quarterly and this will keep you up to speed
Run random checks on your PC to ensure that Friends arent doing it on purpose

Thanks for tuning in Folks and i hope it Helps some of you

i find using Opera and a good amount of common sense have kept me and my pc free up spyware, malware, adware and viruses for over 3 years now.
in my opinion all the security software in the world doesn't make up for knowing how to use a computer properly and safely.

One word: Firefox.

Or in general, any browser that is not the swiss cheese called internet explorer.

Also, AdAware and ZoneAlarm help. It's not that hard if you know what you're doing.

Aye having common sense does help. erm I have opera on the wii so yup that is safe but on the wii it has its limitations e.g. some plug ins and Flash built Sites These have a tendency of not working on that but hey maybe its different on the PC / Mac whatever  ;D ??? ;D

A cunning combination of format c: and enough intelligence to be able to solve a simple equotation (e.g. 2x² = 8) is the only way to be relatively sure, sorry.

I have a fail-safe way to prevent all intrusion attempts into your computer, fix your computer any time a program locks up or freezes, or pretty much anything else whatsoever happens to your computer. This method is 100% guaranteed to work or your money back!

Oh, believe me, the Opera for the Wii is a slimmed down version, and does not, in any way, compare to the desktop version (regardless of operating system, really, I like 'em all). I only find about 1 or 2 new sites a week which don't work correctly in Opera, and for those sites I use Firefox. Internet Explorer is only used for local webdesign tests, for obvious reasons.
Still here.

Actually, Spybot is not as useful as SpySweeper.

And I agree with Boyd. Common sense is the best defense. (rhyme?  :=)
