AGS on CD!

Ever wished you could have access to those lovely longer ags games such as the oworc entries or Apprentice2? Or have really wanted a speech pack for a certain game but just don't have the internet speed to download?

Well now's your chance! I've got a heap load of spare cd's lying around and nothing to really do with them. I figured if there's any ags'er that wants a selection of ags games put onto cd for them and then posted to their house then why not come to me. If i don't already have the game i will download it for you and you can put as many games as you can fit onto a 600mb cd! Oh and the best thing is, i will do this for free! Free postage (in uk) and no labour fee!

hehe, so yes if you want some ags games put onto a cd for you then mailed to your house just reply here with a list of the games and i will try to get to it asap.

I'm in the USA, and I have a fast enough connection, so not that it concerns me, but, would you be zipping the files before putting them on CD I presume? You could fit a lot more that way. Good luck with your ventures. I hope no one traces the CD back to your house and kills you.

Actually most of the stuff comes zipped or rared already, and zipping or raring zips or rars is not much of convenience or advantage.

Well in that case (the case of zipped/rared content) I was of course referring to leaving them zipped/rared. Of course I can't think of anything that isn't zipped/rared, so I guess the question should have been, "you are leaving the stuff zipped so that you can fit more into the 600mb, right?".

But then, what would be the idea in extracting the contents from them onto a CD, as it really doesn't help much, compared to what it saves... You can't put the savegames on the CD, so you need the game files on HDD. Sure, it saves one step of unxtracting, but... what's the point, as opposed to the space usage?

We have 56k and we download apprentice2 over 40 mb can you belive it.And we are curently downloading flight of the amazon queen 34mb.
But our phone bill is way too high

Ideally Goldmund needs to be posted an annual, as I was still asleep when he left Mittens & hadn't given him a CD, as I'd run out of dvd cases I intended to give him one after he won a game prize (which was lucky that he did) - but he left..

Andail also needs a dvd case. I'm sure something can be sorted out to make sure Goldmund gets his edition

Chicky, it's only about Â£2 to ship to the USA, possibly less - just don't use a bulky cd-case.
