I hate hairdressers.
They alwais ask me how I want my hair cut and I alwais say "with scissors would be nice".Ã,  I don't know how I want my hair cut, it's not on my priority list. I don't plot how my hair is cut. I only see my face in the mirror when I wash my hands after taking a dump, anyway!

I only get my hair cut every half year. I let it cut short, then I let it grow for half a year and let it cut short again.
But now I havn't had my hair cut of more then 3/4 year.

I like having long hair. I can't explain why a guy wants to have long hair, until you get it youself. Then you'll understand. You just feel cool and get more self respect. You'll feel more like an individual then a clone.

I also came to the conclusion that my long hair effects other people too. Groups are more afraid of me and old people have less respect for me. Strangers stare at me, like I'm up to no good.

I'm going to get my hair cut next week. Not good timing since it's getting colder again...

What is your oppion and experience about hairlength (or hair colour).
What do girls prefer.

Kinoko

I had, until recently, what most would say was way too much hair. It was the length of hair that would have people stopping you on the street, and little kids pointing. It was a complete pain in the ass (not as bad as you might imagine) but I loved it. When the wind blew right, it felt sooo nice, and it was warm, and it gave me a LOT of possibilities for things I could do with it.

I recently got about... a foot or so cut off. I'm never getting it much longer again because this is just as nice (it's about ... just past the middle of my back) and I can't believe how much time is saved in brushing and drying it. Girls with super short hair keep telling me to get it cut because short hair is convenient, and it isn't hot, you can feel the breeze on your hair, blah de blah de blah. I say, pff to that! I may get it cut one day but only when I feel like I know a short hair style that's prettier than long, flowing hair ^_^

As for men... all I can say is that if you have long hair, PLEASE KEEP IT WASHED AND VERY CLEAN! I cannot STAND scruffy hair on guys, it drives me insane and ... I'm pretty easy with hugs to my friends but I won't so much as stand near a guy that has anything less than recently washed hair. It just seems to be a particular trait with long haired guys to keep it grubby. Yech. Dont do it, guys. You don't have to be a metrosexual, just be hygienic.

Exactly!

Most of the guys around here have hair no longer than 1 cm. And everyone looks the same. But girls tend to like them better around here. I wonder why.
I'm also the dude with the longest hair in my class. It's not like down to the shoulders, but still. I like to call it a 'skater hair'. And besides, I look a lot better.  ;) At least, in my opinion.

And I don't like going to the barber's either. So I usually just let them cut it shorter from every side and get out of there.

I can't say that longer hair changes anything, but at least I differ a bit.

Eigen: Skater hair is teh wicked. For anyone who doesn't know what it is, it's about chin-length hair that sort of sticks out when you're wearing a baseball cap. Skater hair, in my opinion, would look great with anyone.

Here's an example: http://www.kenston.k12.oh.us/khs/skateandwake/sept-skater-of-month_big.jpg

Kinoko: I, too, had quite a lengthy amount of hair, and although it was nice when the breeze flew through it, it would take such a looong time to groom:

1. You'd have to untangle all of the knots every morning.
2. It would get in the way during skateboarding.
3. Shampooing/drying was hel- heck.

So I stuck with medium length hair; I can still feel the breeze, it's easier to manage, AND skateboarding is much funner when your hair doesn't whip you in the eye everytime you try to do a trick.

If you're looking for a hairstyle, you might want to try mine... it's sort of longish in the front and shortish in the back... you get the best of both worlds, basically. Here're some old pictures of the style:

Hah, backwards mullet XD.

Anyway my hair is being cut soon, it's too long and it gets all curly and wavey so it's going.

Edit: I never said it wasn't awesome, just the way you described it, Darty

I love love LOVE long hair. Mine and other people's.

-It's fun to play with
-it gives you an instant sense of individuality
-you can change your look five times a day (currently favouring pigtails)

For years I had rediculously short hair. From about grade 3 to grade nine my hair was never longer than chin length, but it usually only came to my ears. Ã, Then my mom started making me pay for my own hair cuts. The length of time between visits to the barber got really long, and therefore so did my hair. Ã, It's about halfway down my back, now.

I get it cut about once a year now... if I remember.

Dart: That is an awesome hair cut. It is, however, a reverse mullet. Where a mullet is uncool, your hair is cool.

I've been growing my hair for just over a year and absolutely love it. Sure, there's been some times it's looked like a very large wig, occasionally I can pull off the 'Cousin It' look and I have to tie a teatowel around my forehead to stop it getting in the way when I'm cooking, but aside from that it's been a flawless transition. Oh, and it makes showering a lot more annoying due to the unreasonable amount of time it takes to dry, but it does mean it's getting washed and conditioned (with Herbal Essences no less) every day.

And it's definatly not skater hair, ugh.

I hate my hair and who i am.  :=

Pet Terry

I like long hair. My hair isn't long now, but I had rather long hair last spring. Then my mum said I looked like a troll and begged me to get a haircut before my graduation. So I did. It was a mistake.

When my hair grows long, it gets all curly and wavy and looks horrible. And when that happens, I wear hat to hide my ugly hair. I wash my hair once a day and I've noticed it gets curly easier. Then if I don't wash my hair one day, the curlyness disappears when I wash it again. And, as Dark Stalkey said, it takes long time to dry the hair after washing it.

I've been thinking if I should dye my hair. Maybe some lighter or darker stripes? I don't know if it would look any good though, and I've heard dyeing hair at the barber is rather expensive.

Jumping to the cause before Darth gets here... Cut your hair you damned hippy!

I've got rather short hair, I have to. If I let my hair grow out past 2 inches the sides get really long and I look like a cat after getting sprayed with a hose. It's nice because you dont have to put product in it all the time and it looks just fine. The only downside is that I get bed-head quite often.

In reguards it female shortness, I hate when women get their hair cut way short. Down to your chin is fine, but anything way close to your scalp is very unattractive in my opnion.

shbaz

I have mine cut roughly every 3 months. It grows about a half inch during that time. I don't really mind whether it's short or long really, so I have it cut short and when it gets so long that it starts to curl inconveniently I have it cut. The picture to the left was a month ago, I think. I just had a haircut last week.

Dart, that haircut is awesome. Don't listen to this "reverse mullet" business.

Once, I had a real mullet. I don't like to talk about it much.
Once I killed a man. His name was Mario, I think. His brother Luigi was upset at first, but adamant to continue on the adventure that they started together.

Captain Mostly

Cut your hair. Long hair is rubbish and a hassle. (That's an opinion by the way, not JUST a scientifically proven fact...)

:= Ã,  Ã, <-- Why not get a 'do like this man?

MrColossal

As Jet knows my hair is quite short, I haven't been to a barbershop in years and years cause I just grab a pair of buzzers and ZWWOOP off it comes, I think I've saved thousands of dollars that way.

http://www.agsforums.com/mittens2004/DSCF0026.html [I also love sandwiches!]

I have more hair on my legs than I do on my head.

For a while I thought about growing my hair out and longer but when it got to that insane stage where it's not really long enough to look good and it's not short enough to look good I got scared and shaved it off, much to Jess' disappointment.

And Jess is rocking the same hair style Dart. She wants to buzz the back of her head close but I don't think she has the guts for it yet. And ultimately what she wants to do is rock the Tank Girl hair...

But then again, who doesn't want to be like Tank Girl?

Al_Ninio

And the Tank Girl haircut is called 'the chelsea'. For some reason. I don't know why.

My hair is pretty short now, but it was rather skater-ish, emo-ish or scene-hair-ish before.
I'm letting it grow out now, because I miss that haircut.
I can't stand having short hair.

And Dart's hair rocks. Indeed.

Tiki

My hair's fairly long now.  It covers must of my eyes, normally, and if I pull it, it reaches to my nose.   It's over my ears as well, at least 3/4 of it, and the back is quite a few inches as well.

Unfortunately, I have to get it cut today before I apply for a job.

It looks nice, and quite Beatle-like.

Unilin

I've had the same hair cut for almost 20 years now, and I think I'll have it until I'm bald. Ã, I don't have all that much choice in the matter, either, save for just shaving the whole lot off, as I have terribly thick hair, espically for a blonde (though I've got streaks of white from stress), four large cowlicks that absolutly cannot be managed, and way too much bouncyness. Ã, Every time I switch barbers they comment on this. Ã, I have to keep it between 2 and 4 inches, less and it sticks straight up, no matter what I do to it, more and it starts to get all wavy and curly. Ã, This means I need to get it cut every 3 or 4 months. Ã, And I tell you, it gets more and more tempting all the time to just shave the lot off.

I like to keep it short, but just long enough to rub a little gel in it so it spikes up.Ã,  I tried the long hair thing once, but my hair is too wavy, so that didn't last long.Ã,  I usually like to dye it blonde:

I shaved my head bald about a month ago, and then I realized that my head looks like a cue ball.Ã,  So I can't wait until it grows back to it's regular length.

Sometimes, I do catch a little crap because I'm so picky about the way my hair/facial hair looks, but I just think that your hairstyle/grooming kinda reflects who you are and what you're like as a person.Ã,  Plus, I just like to look good when I go out in public.Ã,  Not eccentric, just mildy handsome.
Watch, I just killed this topic...

Nacho

I like long hair. When I was beatnik I had it long, it reached my shoulders :) but Benidorm is a quite warm city and it's not very comfortable. Also, as a cyclist, I must have it short, specially in winter, for avoiding colds  (Long hair in winter for avoiding colds? Is this guy stupid, ho?) no! Actually, if rains and you're 60 kms away from your house, it's better to have short hair that can be dryed quickly.

I also hate brushes, so... Now I have it short, #3 at the flanks and #6 at the top (Standar european cutting hair machine).

P.S. I would like to shave my head someday!
Are you guys ready? Let' s roll!
