Title: adventure games puzzles theory??
Post by: kadok on Sun 26/06/2005 23:30:32
hi

I want to ask if there is any theory for adventure games puzzles.

you know, how the puzzles should be design and  etcetera.

and if there isn't any theory for that, lets discuss
about puzzles design and principles

that was discussed some years ago :)
you'll find theories in popular threads (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?board=11.0), the threads beginning with GTD (game design theory, if i am not mistaken i obviously was.. game theory discussion).

There was another article by Blake Speers on Mattgoble's website, but it appears to be gone. :(

Here is something Ron Gilbert wrote:

I don't know if you had something in mind like this, but I thought I just show you.

Oh my god... these articles make me so scared, I'll never be able to make "perfect" or "good" puzzles...  :(
