I thought you might like to know that on this show I sometimes watch called the electric playground (on Space), they had a little thing about Kings Quest. As well, they showd videos captured from the fan made remakes(Kings quest I VGA, Kings quest II+ VGA, and Kings quest III VGA) as well as as Silver lining. Now they didn't talk about AGS, but, its still pretty great, huh?
That does sound cool!! AGS is everywhere these days, I swear! Soon it'll be on the news. Then CJ will have to go into hiding in the mountains because of its popularity and insane fan-base, and send cryptic messages to the world threatening not to release new versions.
In the meantime though, gadget and computer game shows are the best exposure! ;) If only AGS could have been on Games Master!!!!
Well done to the KQ people though, especially!
Though unrelated to the KQ being on ElectricPlayground, it's still relevant to AGS popularity.
I remember way back when Akumayo first introduced me to AGS, and I knew nothing about nothing.
I asked him, "Who is this CJ everyone keeps referring to?"
Ak:"Chris Jones, creator of AGS. AKA: CJ, Pamaman, God"
MH:"'Pamaman'?"
Ak:"DO NOT USE THE LORD'S NAME IN VAIN!!!!!!!"
:o Hide in the mountains, indeed....
I've never heard AGS talked about on TV, newspapers, magazines(with the exception of that awesome Hyper article!), or radio, the reasons for this are probably twofold.
1. I am 14 years of age.
and
2. I live in Australia.
Cheers,
Fluke.

Yes, but...oh. Okay.
I wonder if they'll mention all these religious threads on TV at some point...
Im 12 and I'm dead Ive heard of ratracer's "Uncertainty machine" in quite a few Free games magizines. and i remember it being mentioned in some game making article somewhere. Due to the amount of religous affair in these forums lately i might as well corrupt this topic as well.

Ive heard of AGA's "Uncertainty machine"
Really? I haven't! I've heard of AGA's games and I've heard of The Uncertainty Machine, but not the two together!
A long, long time ago I bought a PC magazine with a CD containing tons of freeware and shareware game making or game related programs/engines. AGS was on that CD (a DOS or DOS-ish version, don't remember which one exactly).
I've had some (about 3 hrs) fun with it and then I...
...please CJ, AGS community and all you adventure fans out there, forgive me for the blasphemy I commited that day, even though I now desecrate these good forum boards with my unholy presence...
...lost interest.

Oops, I mean ratracer, not AGA. Dunno how I got that mixed up.

BLASPHEMER!! BURN HIM, BURN HIM!
Fluke, many people probably do lose interest in AGS after awhile, but then when they want to make an adventure game, they will return. I am in the same boat, i will use it for a while, then get bored, move on to something else, and return. I think this happens with every piece of software out there.
Says the person endorsed by xbox 360 ;D
Well that is Hardware, not Software. :)
Sounds really cool. AGS pops up here and there every now and then. :)
I remember when I first got in touch with AGS. My classmate copied an article on game making programs from a swedish PC magazine, and there was a short article on AGS. That was like five years ago. Still addicted to the damn program. ;D
