Title: AGS Pinball
Post by: Evil on Wed 20/08/2003 21:28:05
Well, you may have heard my talk about this before. I have been working on an AGS pinball machine. I've tried many designs and styles, though I'm not happy with them... I was thinking maybe a contest where you draw what you think AGS Pinball should look like or whatever and then I would make the winner's. Agree, dissagree? Should I even try it? Give me your thoughts...

I think you should. That would be very cool. You could put the Adventure Game Studio banner somwhere on it.

Oh, I was going to say, go nuts on the shakescreen function, and youd have a tilt....

Put a Roger doll in it, like you would see Frankenstein or whatever pinball games you all have played.
An ability to put the ball into a lying down bluecup for UltraMegaPoints or maybe just 2 points...whatever.

btw, how is AGS Monopoly going... ::)

If you can get multiple balls, use rogers head.
That would funny.

You could have one part be a Forums section wear you would hit different threads or somthing like that. I don't know how good this engine is, but  little things like this would make this game cool and addictive.

A contest would be interesting. Come on people! Submit!

You have to light up a number of 'suggestion' lights, in order to score a NEW FEATURE! *dingdingding*

Every landmark scoring (say...  every 1,000,000 points or so) there's a Mittens gathering.  You have to shoot the loop within a time limit to get an AGSer on the plane to Mittens.  You keep doing this until you don't manage to shoot the loop within the time limit, at which point the Mittens gathering ends.  The more AGSers you got to attend Mittens, the higher your bonus.

That's all I can think of right now.

What engine are you using? I'd be happy to make some tables! Like, a Larry Vales table. Or a Pleurghburg one, and a Lassi Quest one!

Two days ago, and I would have ignored this post. Then for some reason in the last two days, I played a pinball game and understood how to play it.

Screw smoking, i've just found pinball!

Blimey, that visual pinball is good stuff.  I've just downloaded some recreations of real pinball tables (with Pinmame), and they're really well done.
