Title: AGS pocketpc & scummvm
Post by: on Sun 10/09/2006 10:56:36
Hi guys; did anyone finally come up with a solution or method to port AGS games to pocketpcs?
They're pretty powerfull these days.

I have an xda which has 64mb ram and 520mhz now that has got to be a lot more powerfull than my amiga :D

Last time I was here; there was a discussion on the possibility of using scummvm to port the games through that.

Thanks.

ScummVM wouldn't work with AGS games anyway because they aren't made with the SCUMM engine... :o

Nor were the Simon the Sorcerer games, or Revolution's back catalogue. ScummVM isn't a strictly accurate name anymore.

Well...those are exceptions that have been hardcoded into the ScummVM engine. I suppose saying "they aren't made with the SCUMM engine" isn't a 100% definitive will-not-work-with-ScummVM flag, but AGS games still wouldn't work (at least not as-is).
