Hi all.

Got into a conversation the other day about a tv program I remember called Kinvig (I think).
It was about a shop keeper who had a female alien land in his back yard. (as far as I remember).

I was just wondering if anyone else remembers this show. I can't think how it ended, even if it did. I don't think it was very popular.

Thanks.
Jay.

Ooh! Another one was "Saphire and Steel". I always remember the one at the ghostly train station. But there was another one where they were
trapped in a room with pillows that turned into big birds and attacked them. Does anyone remember that one?
Saphire was Joanna Lumley (spelled wrongly I suspect) and Steel was (?). I think it was the guy from "Man from uncle" but I can't remember his name.

@StrangeVisitor : I think RetroJay was more in a mood to chat about those shows than looking for It's Wiki link. :D

Sad, I don't recall anything like those :(

While we're there, anyone can find me the name of that british show set in an haunted mansion where the characters were ghosts? I guess it was a comedy but I was too young to not be frightened by the weird historical character.
"I've... seen things you people wouldn't believe. Destroyed pigeon nests on the roof of the toolshed. I watched dead mice glitter in the dark, near the rain gutter trap.
All those moments... will be lost... in time, like tears... in... rain."

Thanks StrangeVisitor for the wiki links.
However LUniqueDan was correct. I did only want to talk about those old tv shows.

Anyway. LUniqueDan the only show that I can think of that nearly matches what you said was a show
called "Rent a Ghost". Although this was not set in a mansion.
It did have a wierd historical character though called "Mr Claypole" who was a court jester. There was also a woman who used
to dissapear when she sneezed, called "Miss Popoff".
Other characters were a pantomime horse and a witch called "Mc Witch".
They all worked for mr and Mrs "Meeker" who they lived with.

Hope this is the show you're talking about. I can't think of any other around that time.

Jay.

Yup it was Rentaghost! Thanks RetroJay.

The human brain does store a lot of things. That was 24 years ago.
