Title: Allowance for removal in bedford?
Post by: capdown on Wed 17/11/2010 14:51:17
Hey,
I don´t know if its allowed, but I need your experience(and I´m quite desperate  :-[ ).
Im about to move to Bedford for a couple of months (Im from germany) - I found already a flat but I need some help to put my stuff in it.
Does anyone know where I can find a good removal service?
I thought about using pages like checkatrade or ratedpeople - what do you think about it?

Thanks for your help! It isn´t easy in a new country  ;)

Moving stuff from Germany to the UK, or from somewhere else in the UK? I'd suggest van rental company if it's the first - rather than a removals company, but I suppose if you have lots of big sofas, cookers etc a removal company would be better, cos they will carry things up the stairs.

Hey!
Half half - the kitchen e.g. is already complete. I want to buy a new bed, some cupboards etc.
Therefore some help to carry the stuff in the 2nd floor would be nice  ;D .
I found for example allowance for removal on myhammer (http://"http://www.myhammer.co.uk/db/Removals,-Transport,-Deliveries/-/uk/") ( I know the page from germany).
Are there maybe other pages you already used?Does somebody already used myhammer?
Or should I use the yellow pages?

Thanks folks!

Sorry for the double post, but I just want to keep you "up to date".
I´ve qouted out some ads on several pages like jobisjob, rated people etc. Lets see if I get acceptable offers - but so far it looks like as I'm going to rent (http://"http://www.myhammer.co.uk/db/Rent,-Hire/-/uk/") a car here.
