Tomorrow is Roxy Music live for the first time in Finland. I got the ticket pre-ordered, it was ~59€. Soon I realised, the ticket is too expensive for common listeners and I don't know anyone besides me that is a huge fan of Bryan Ferry and RM... :( So it seems I'm going to be alone at the concert and there's ano-one I can tell about it. I don't suppose any of you guys are in Helsinki tomorrow? I'm trying my best to have fun tomorrow, but so far, I've never been alone to a concert, and with Roxy Music, I doubt there'll be that many cute chicks to hit on while we're at it. :(
The warm up artist is a finnish band that is decent, but superb live, even though you didn't like their music. Check them out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kefLFlv6-VI
With that... Don't stop the dance :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SV2OVFE-gW4
Went to a Depeche mode concert alone. 2-3 different friends said they'll come, turned out nobody did. Plus I had about 38C temperature and it was raining and I had no car....was good concert though, I was like in the second row in front of the stage.
I've been to a few gigs on my own. Most notable The Stranglers last year. I was 26, which isn't exactly young anymore, but nevertheless, I'm pretty sure I was in the youngest 1% of all attendees. Punk Milf everywhere... love it! Was a great gig!
And the good thing about being on your own is you don't have to worry about finding everyone afterwards if you get separated.
I've went to Roger Waters on my own, I found some people from my uni, but not guys you can call friends.
I have been to a couple of gigs on my own before. I think if you enjoy the music you will have a great time. As Stupot says you don't have to worry about other people. Maybe you will meet someone new. That is the beauty of music.
Just ask the most lonely person you know to go. That way you kill two birds with one stone.
Then again, it's harder to fight for a place on the railing or throwing the first punch when someone is being a jerk...though probably those things don't happen very often on a Roxy music concert.
