Title: Alot to say...REALLY!
Post by: on Sun 18/01/2004 18:39:46
Well...for the past few weeks I have been stuck into a rut, with Wintermute...obviously, I realized that the program was pretty much....a farse. But, I have come crawling back on my hands & knees begging for forgiveness to all the AGS'ers. AGS is my home for creating games...AGS is where I will stay. Torin's Passage 2 won't happen because of copyright issues. BUT...I have not given up hope on a good game that everyone will enjoy.

Thank You all for your time & I hope to announce my 1st MAJOR game title, in the near future.

Welcome back Phil  ;)

Sorry to hear that Torin's Passage 2 fell through.  Allthough I wondered what you were gonna do about the copyright issues.

Goodluck on your new project

We knew you'd come crawling back for our sweet, sweet candy.

We'll forgive you (I don't know what you did, but this situation could be GOLD for me) if you change your signature to "Tim Schafer! Tim Schafer! Tim Schafer! Tim Schafer! WOOOOOO!"

Except without the quotation marks.

Welcome back to AGS and the Forums Phil.  :)

I wish you the best of luck in your future adventure game making endeavors, because i know i do. I'm still coming to grips with everything AGS has to offer.

Shawn  :)

Haha, I'll just suggest one thing for Phil.. before you announce your new game, and try to get everyone pumped up for it.. do something. Make a background, a character, anything for that matter, and people aren't going to flame you.

Oi, welcome back, chum.

If anyone gives you any of the old wive's strife, blame past expressions on account of the most ping-pong tiddly in a smashing nuclear submarine. Cheers!

The better of all this is that (even when somebody, in between I include myself, has showed his reluctances to the return of Phil) everybodya had a line of "Wisely use your second chance and good luck". Man, this community is great... :)

Some moderator has displayed a slightly superfluous amount of diplomacy here.

But hey, it's nice.

Hey listen, I hate to bring this up again, but your signature still says nothing about Tim Schafer, and dude, I already forgave you for taking my lunch accidently. I hardly think it's fair for you to not keep your side of the bargain. I mean, if you hadn't already taken my lunch then that would be okay, but we're talking about a totally uneven finish here. All you have to do is click on your profile to change it. I can spell it for you, if you're not sure about it. A lot of people mispell "schafer". Although not many people get the first part wrong. That is, the "tim" part. Hey, if you're embarrassed to be totally fawning over another guy in your signature, don't worry! We're all gay here. AGS? Adventurous Gay Singles! But we also make adventure games. And maybe you're thinking, "Tim Schafer isn't gay!!!!" Well, I would like to challenge that statement. I mean, who really knows? Isn't that his business, whether he is gay or not? I guess what I am trying to say, is that I will definitely cry if you don't change that signature, because I would feel totally cheated out of this entire thing, after I forgave you and all. I can't go and get angry at you again over nothing, after forgiving you for taking my lunch. What kind of a dumb moron would I look like then, eh?

Man, how much stuff can you put in that long a paragraph, Lili! Seriously, it's been a long while that I saw someone say nothing with that many words. Even I can't beat that. :)

Anyway, great to see that the situation is starting cool down. And I think Eric rocks at moderating.

Yeah, you could at least have broken it up into paragraphs so anyone stupid enough to read it could understand it better.

Did you read it, Robert Eric? Did you pick up on the raw lust? Or should I be lustier? I'm not sure if I'm lusty enough.

Remember the first time I met you on IRC, Yufster? You ended up saying something along the lines of 'I worry about your mental state, veryweirdguy' (perhaps not in those exact words).

Oh how the times have changed...

Yes; mostly because I don't get as much attention these days, and I really love getting attention. I am totally attention seeking. It's not so much a mental thing as an insecurity issue. Hey-ho! Look at me! I want attention!

To answer the original question: Wait wait wait. I was misled! You didn't have a lot to say at all!!! Man, you liar.

You know why you don't get enough attention these days, Yufster? Because you're annoying as all hell and I, among others, wish you would just shrivel up and disappear forever, never to be seen ever again. I wish an invisibility pill were invented so that I may find out your exact home address and force-feed this amazing pill directly down your annoying little throat.

EDIT:

:)

Mmmm... I don´t really want to loss any member of the community under any circumstance  :-\

I have been weak before, and I wanted CJ to ban kikme, Mitar and Phil (If he annoys somebody again)... THAT´S why CJ is the creator and I am just a mere user  :). That´s why I wouldn´t like to be a moderator, I get easily annoyed.

We can take some lesson... Let´s use PM´s, a nice way to avoid awful situations...

My oppinion is that Yufster pushed this situation too much  :-\ Please Yufs... take it easy, don´t commit the same mistake that I have made before... It is fucking easy to ignore somebody if he easily annoys you. Same to the others.

I wouldn't like to be a mod, either.  I'm too passive... (unless of course, I'm drunk and you piss me off or call me a faggot or something... but that's another story for another day).

I just finally decided to read this post (and the other post).  All I have to say is this...

This whole ordeal almost felt like an AGS armageddon (almost).  I mean, it was a war.

I haven't felt like this about a war since my parents split up when I was two.  The people in this forum are like family to me, if you'll allow me to put it metaphorically (sp?).  This is the only place I really feel like I belong, because you all have something in common with me, you all like gaming, art, music, programming, etc (it's a package deal for me).  It kinda hurts me to see you all going at each other's throats like that.

I've been part of this community for about a year and a half.  I haven't put out a any games (yet), and I don't really feel like I contribute much (at least nothing that myself or anyone else would notice).  On mIRC, I just go there to interact, and when no-one is talking to me, I just randomly type stupid shit in and press <ENTER>.  People seem to get annoyedby it, I feel like I'm nothing but a pain in the ass.

But...

If I had pulled a stunt similar to what Phil did, and later on, I apologised and admitted that I had done you all wrong, would you accept me back?  I hope you would.

Keep in mind, Mr Hyde that we've also seen effort from you.  You've entered a couple competitions, put up art for C&C.  You've taken some suggestions to heart and dismissed others.  You've replied to topics of interest rather than starting a half-dozen new ones about vague (or inane) subjects.  You've shared game ideas, personal thoughts & voiced disagreement.  That's the difference.

Ideally, PhilRoberts would have his profile deleted and he'd start another so that nobody would be biased towards him.  He's provided a bit of irritation and hasn't shown that he's willing to work on anything (or help anyone else, for that matter), hasn't entered competitions and hasn't shared any insight on existings topics or discussions.  I don't think he'll have any issues getting tech-support help while using his current handle.  However, I don't think he'll "mesh" with the community's overall personality if he doesn't get a fresh start.  If you were disagreeable or complaintative, Mr. Hyde, we'd forgive ya.  Why? Because anyone that gets along on the forums and/or IRC for a while becomes like family.

 ???

I didn´t noticed you had that kind of problems with the community... Do you remember that post when you asked us to say something nice to you and your girlfriend for your anniversary? I think everybody was nice :)... Nah, Dr. Hide, there´s no need to apology, no one of us is perfect (except La Lore, of course... ;D)

Don´t worry about us attacking the others´throad... That´s cyclical (sp?) soon all will become normal... I hope.  ;)

Careful, if you're going to be that tongue-in-cheek, you might bore a hole through your face.
