Xp X64 doesn't seem to like winamp AT ALL!
So I was wondering if there was another player, similar to winamp (which I really like) and able to play ogg files, amongst everything else. (inclusive of 24-bit audio files, which WMP does NOT like either! Geez the problems that us musicians face! :=)
I use JetAudio (http://www.jetaudio.com/) because it came with a media player that I love.
Also, Songbird (http://getsongbird.com/) is also very nice.
Both might have features that you don't need, but they are customizable. The reason why I like JetAudio the best is because you can make it shrink down to fit atop the windows taskbar with all the features available to you.

Not sure what you need it for, but if it's just playback I use VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) for lots of stuff.

If you would like to have a player that looks and works like a
Winamp clone and also is for free, you should give AIMP2 (http://www.aimp.ru/) a try.
[site is russian but you can set the site language to english]
I used it for half a year now and didn't find a better player/winamp clone.
I would also recommend to use the skin named "radiomatic", a great retro skin.

My favorite audio player for Windows is definitely Foobar 2000 (http://www.foobar2000.org/). It's super-compact, and it does everything you want it to.
After looking through the winamp forums, according to the devs winamp works perfectly fine on the 64-bit os's. Have you tried searching there for your specific problem (as well as google)?
Yeah I used to use xp 64 a while back and never had any issues with Winamp.
+1 for AIMP2 from me. I do not know one person who changed from Winamp (or any other player) to AIMP2 and returned to the old Winamp-junk. [ Arj0n ] already posted the list of features. I'll add something personal which I think lots of people, who have tried AIMP2 after Winamp, will agree - AIMP2 is something more than Winamp or at least than the latest couple of versions. AIMP2's the old Winamp - a real audio player. Winamp became very very heavy and they put in it things that one really doesn't need. It even got video features, burning tool and who knows what more. I'm using it for about 2 years and haven't have a signle crash or a problem with it during that time. You can also install it on a USB drive (for example along with your music collection on an external hard drive). It has all audio codecs you'll need and more from Winamp's site.
Wow, AIMP 2 really got me. What I hated about the newer versions of Winamp is that they took a huge amount of space on my desktop, and I didn't use the most of it. Thanks for sharing.
