Title: AnaCapri- The dream.
Post by: RetroJay on Wed 06/02/2008 20:08:03
Hi all.
My brother bought ''Anacapri- The dream'' and is most upset cos there are no voices in the adventure mode.
He does however get a guides voice in the exploration mode.
His OS is V...V...Vista!
Myself and other more intelligent folk, within my family, who run XP have no problems with sound whatsoever.
Can anyone make a suggestion as to how this problem could be rectified please.
Oh just one more thing the background music plays fine and even fades slightly when someone is supposed to talk, but that is where
the problem lies as there is no speech.
Thanks.
Jay.

O.K. I been meaning to do this for a while now but only just got around to it.
The sound problem within this game, Anacapri- The Dream, when running on Vista has been solved.
Just go to the games website and download a file called "screenshot 2 package" or something like that.
Once you apply this to the game the sound works fine.
We did see this download on the games site before but didn't bother cos we couldn't see how a screenshot package
would rectify the sound but it just does!!
Sorry if I offended anyone who has Vista with my first post. It's OK I suppose it just needs to get better (That's my opinion anyway). ;)

Thought that I would let you know incase anyone buys the game and has the same problem.

MrColossal.
"Anacapri- The Dream" is the sequel to a game called "A Quiet Weekend In Capri".
It is made up of actual pictures from the island of Capri just off of Italy (I believe).
I haven't actually played it myself but have seen that it has rather nice scenery and some good puzzles.
If you search for it online you should find plenty about it.
They both have been made by a Father and Son.
And who knows they maybe using AGS!!

So is this game, "Anacapri- The Dream", any good?

Because I've never heard of it. "Anacapri- The Dream" that is.

My Brother found "Anancapri- The Dream" to be a very absorbing and entertaining game.
The puzzles were clever without being impossible, apart from one which he did have to read a walkthrough to solve.
So to answer your question he thought it was good but it's all personal taste.
He bought it from Amazon.com.

Being made with photographs it looks very much like 'The Oracle'... I played that recently and really enjoyed it.
