Anime/Manga pros need to help me out

When I was a kid I used to watch a manga/anime I am not sure anyway what it was and the story was in the future about a firl brown hair that had the ability to control the giant/enormous bug that existed in the planet. She also had a red speed bike if this helps. I was thinking of making it a game after watching ten millions of those episodes of course.

I don't suppose you mean Akira? I know it was in the future and had a red bike in it, don't remember much more. err, Bubblegum Crisis had a bike too, but that's hardly it seeing the plotline.

Nausicaa has a beige glider though, and there's no red bike (or bikes at all - all modes of transport involve flying, really).

Also, it's a movie, and the statement that topic started said he used to watch it kind of indicates a series.

I know it's fanart and not original Miyazaki art, but I was waiting for a chance to post this somewhere, as I adore the artist's work.

Was it broadcasted in the Greek television? Cause if it was, maybe us Greek members can help, or alternatively you could check archieves of the Greek TV channels. If it is more than 13-14 years ago, there was only EPT1 and ET, nothing else...

BTW, a great idea, but who would draw the sprites? Or will they be ripped (in which case I don't mind at all, btw... )

God it was a movie I never managed to see complete since the channel probably had pieces of it.

If you can find anywhere that sells anime, they probably sell Nausicaa, it's one of the most famous anime movies from one of the most famous studios (Shouldn't be hard to download either...). I'm told by several people with taste that the Nausicaa comics are better than the movie, by the way, so you may want to source those for inspiration too.

It was Nausicaa? That's one of my favorite anime, but I would have never thought from your description that's what it was, except "girl" and "bug." Maybe you meant Warriors in the Wind, the bastardized version.

And Nik: I didn't know you liked anime. Then again, you did replace your avatar of your kids with an anime girl... baka
