Well, there probably isn't an annual present thread, but then I'll take on the responsibility to make one every year from now on. That is a promise. Don't quote me on that.
Anywaaay... What did you get for christmas this year? This isn't some bragging thread or a competition on who got the most expensive present, but I'd like to hear if people got presents or anything that meant anything special to them.
Me? I got a pair of "Skullcandy Skullcrushers" with absolutely fantastic sound. And what meant the most for me was from my parents, being a small airplane "driving license". :D My dad has always wanted to learn to fly and then wanted me to join in on it. :D
What did you get? :)

But hey I'm not realy that bothered if you think this list sucks, I have had a very good year. A beautiful wonderful girlfriend (9 months and counting), a great job with actual responsibilities I care to uphold, and a loving family. This was the best year of my life! :D
I got:
- quite a smart new shirt
- a new front door key (coz I lost my other one) on a Bart Simpson keyring
- Sure for Men deodorant set,
- one quarter of a 'Deal or No Deal' DVD game (to be shared with my family - despite the fact that I hate DonD and have always said so).
- one third of a 'Girls Karaoke' Disc set, to go with the karaoke machine my mum got.
- one 'Maltesers and Friends' selection box.
The shared pressies were a result of us all being really skint this year... I know its the thought that counts, but everyone knows I hate 'Deal...' and I'm not exactly into girls Karaoke either.
oh, and I also got a false moustache set from my friend... quite amusing.

On that note, before I hit add to cart...
Anyone ever play this game? It's the newest 2d adventure I can find, and it looks cool, but...well....I've been hurt before.
On the giving end, I gave my girl a neato new Tri force Nintendo DS with the new Zelda, a mini brewery kit, and a photo scrapbook.
She loves me...I, in fact, rule.
Merry Christams!
We got NO snow this year .. :-[ .. that means no Christmas spirit. For me and most people I know, it felt like any other day .. but oh well
I made myself a present and got a new electric guitar that I had been wanting (actually needing) for ages. And a new wallet.
oh and no dollards either. That makes me really sad. I think I'll go cry on my new pillow [125 dollard]
I got earphones and a tshirt and 14.2 dollard.
20 dollard and a few random items.
Christmas dinner and this massive 1987 yamaha full size sit-at midi keyboard that I have no intention of using!
Nothing. Christmas isn't about presents and I like it that way :)

Didn't I just say so?
I was going to start a new thread for this but I thought it would go snugly in here.
This is what a group of snotty-nosed Canadian uber-moralists proposed this year.
http://adbusters.org/metas/eco/bnd/bnxmas/ (http://adbusters.org/metas/eco/bnd/bnxmas/)
Now I respect the work of anti-consumerists (don't really care too much, myself, though), and adbusters are a pretty well-meaning bunch. But canceling Christmas presents is a bit extreme, isn't it?
-- I got nothing.
Absolutely, not a single Christmas gift. Not even dollards. Or socks.
My birthday's in 2 weeks and I don't expect any gifts then neither.
:'(
Here, its belated, but its just for you InCreator.
Love to warm your heart
and fill it with lifes fire
yearn for all to come
I got The Orange Box. Half Life and Portal are actively rocking my socks. Just finished the latter yesterday, actually. I loved the game so much that after I won, my 12-year-old brother and I were talking like sentry robots for the next hour or so.
Also: best game ending in recent memory.
Spoiler
And the cake is a delicious lie.
The musical theatre geek in me was very happy to receive:
- The vocal score to Pacific Overtures.
- The soundtrack to the Sweeney Todd movie.
- Chicago on DVD.
A whole bunch of clothes, a couple of books, and one or two personal things, too. My family have been very good to me :) My GF's present is still in the post, so I don't know what she got me yet ...
I got some thrilling video equipment which is supposed to come with various Ulead tools but didn't. So I should do them for false advertising, as Ulead logos are all over the box! Got the Simpsons movie & Transformers movie, hadn't seen either but now I have - they're both really good! Got a nice book on funding films & stuff, 2gb memory stick. merry chrimbo!
Oh and of course chocolate...always chocolate :)

The Dub Room Special (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087180/). Best Christmas ever.
Ditto on the Frank Zappa, I'm apparently so difficult to shop for that I end up with at least one of his DVDs every Christmas, I've got two copies of the aforementioned title, and atleast three copies of Baby Snakes in the last few years. Not that I mind too much, but I could do without another copy of 200 Motels.
Without derailing the topic too much, have an of you European Zappa fans gone to Zappanale in Germany before? I went in 2006 and hugged Adrian Belew after someone with a press pass managed to sneak me backstage (Beer is cheaper for the artists and I took full advantage of the fact that people mistook me for a member of Paul Green's School of Rock).
-Some money
-Some biscuits
-Some sweets
-A giant pillow
-A new cover for my passport
-Loads of different alcoholic beverages, which are useless, since I don't drink
This was the first year in recent memory where most of the gifts were either monetary or gift card-ey :-\
- Chocolates and other sweets in my stocking
- My sister is buying one of my uni texts next week
- $100, which I used to get an 1gb clip mp3 player and various other stuffs.
- $50, which I added to the funds for my awesome trip to the UK I'm currently on :D
I got my mum Led Zeppelin Live "How the West was Won" 3 CD set, and for my sister I bought a $20 gift card to Hot Topic.
