I tend to think that most people have a nasty, idiotic, asshole streak in them that is unleashed in its fullest when they're on the internet and anonymous. The anonymity gives them the freedom to be as much of a douche as they've always wanted to be. These people tend to hold low-wage jobs and couldn't locate Antarctica on a map of the world. :P

The biggest example of idiotic comments is on ebaumsworld.com. Nearly every video's commenting feature turns into a race riot: white people are dumb, black power, n*ggers are no better, whites are the greatest, etc. It sickens me and I never even bother replying. I stop reading them the minute I read "Wow, this just proves that black/white/Asian/whatever people are so stupid...". It's degrading and has nothing to do with the video.

You know, I've been reading some sites lately, that allow you to comment in your own language, not just English. I noticed that French and German people tend to write more civilised stuff as comments than those who write in English. Is that because you don't really have stuff like OMG FU***ng n00b shit, etc in those languages, or is it just, that using a foreign language, like English, to some, that makes them write stuff like that?

If you want to experience uncivilised German abuse, spend a few minutes on Counter Strike. LOL.
