I just barly read Mr.Panda's post.
then read DG's
and They are both right. I have been here for about 3 years (I remember posts from yahtzee) and have nothing to show for it.
Over all I dont Post too much. on fact I rarly post.
But I agree I'm just wasting bandwidth!
I'm outta here for a while Untill I have something to show for my time.
I may post in the tech forums if I have problems and I hope you guys will help me.
Its been fun.

I should post the same reply I did in Panda's post ...

Don't disappear from these forums for the wrong reasons.  If everybody who hasn't contributed a full game were to stop posting here it would cease to be an online 'community' like it has become.  It'd be 5 people bouncing messages back and forth ... where's the fun (convenience) of that?

I like knowing that when I post something there are enough people here that I will get a reply.  If everybody decides to stop posting just to save bandwidth this community will fall.

Ex:  I posted some of my Star Wars pixel art on the forums at theforce.net and only like 6 people replied to it.  I've stopped checking it.  There just weren't enough people looking/replying to make it worth my while ... that same thing'll happen here if everybody stops posting just because some people complain about people posting too much.

Have you noticed that these days the Gen Gen forums is just full of people posting that they're not going to be reading the forum any more. I remember the good ole days when it was full of locked threads with old jokes and hate letters from oldies. I'm not going to read it again until we have more rubbish and less goodbyes.

The point was never that only members who create games may post. DG and some other people (including me) aimed a few jabs at people who had contributed with nothing whatsoever (not even thoughtful posts) and still had a bad attitude.

Moreover, too many people announce their departure from the community without being away more than a couple of days, so I guess people have learnt not to take it too seriously. If you are serious, than I'm sorry, as I haven't seen you acting wrong.

Now can we please leave all this about who's a worthy member and who's not, and who may post and who may not.

I'm here for quite a long time here, and what I had done is quite obvious -- none, and it is quite depressing that I just hang in here without having my own life, so (no I'm not kidding) it is time for me to leave...

... until Tuesday ;D , as I'll leave for Macau for school visits on Friday and Monday, so see ya lat0r!11
