Hi y'all! Just wanted to share my latest improvement of my and my girlfriend's apartment. I thought the livingroom could use some decoration... (click for slightly bigger image...)


I bought three cheap bathroom rugs from IKEA and started cutting out "pixels" with 12 cm sides. After an hour or two I had him up, though slightly tilted to the right, so half an hour of pixel pushing later i had this.

Me likes mucho! I was inspired by the guys doing this stuff: http://www.space-invaders.com/som.html. I got the idea after spotting an invader in central Paris on my vacation... Whaddaya think?

Dude.. that is a GREAT idea! Looks really awesome. :o

I've been wanting to make a giant Mario sprite on my wall, pixel by pixel for quite some time now. Haven't gotten around to doing it yet though.

It's probably be Mario from the first Super Mario Brothers.

Great minds think alike...
I did a huge mural of heels from head over heels a couple of years ago - I'll post a pic here later.
I bought coloured square post-it notes and put them on black cardboard. Took about a week to assemble and constant maintenance to keep it "alive".

Steve> Post-its? That's a clever way of doing it! Might try that if I make another one... Still I kind of like the soft couchy feeling of bathroom rug... Sweet picture, I never played head over heels though, but from your image I guess heels is a dog, right?

Boyd>Those were kind'a cool aswell. Not very big, but imagine putting up a whole invasion of those on the wall, that would be awesome...

BTW, has anyone seen any invaders in their home town? There's a list on the site I linked in my first post showning which cities have been attacked so far...
