Yes, the question was in the subject...
Have anyone beaten DooM 2 with difficulty setting as NIGHTMARE?
I have beaten level 1, but I died in level 2. :'(
If that's the hardest one, yes, it was rather epic..
I haven't taken the effort of trying seriously... it's fun to run around and shoot everthing that moves...
But, Ultra-Violence, just about the right diificulty for me... sometimes I kept dying because I wasn't too good with the mouse control, as it moved me front n back instead of looking up n down, so I kept falling into lava pits.......
God-mode works...

Not on the nightmare level.
You should Play Doom with mouse-mod. You get mouse look, jumping and etc
I'm intending to finish it on Nightmare some day... as I now have Zcoom, which has mouselook and such... back then I played with Doom95...
i think i have made it to level 18 or something on nightmare(it aint that hard)
No, it ain't. You just don't have that much time to look for all the secrets and stuff... and it's a bad one if you run out of bullets, shells and cells just before a big enemy rush.......
don't all the enemies also respawn in nightmare mode?
there are quite a few "DooM Done Quick" demo compilations out there, and for other games, many of them on the hardest skill levels, Quake done quick on nightmare is pretty impressive
They do respawn, with random interwall, atleast for me... so you'll just need to be fast.
I've beaten the game with Nightmare a couple of times. Both Doom games are fairly easy (or maybe just notoriously known). Anything under Ultra Violence is a piece of cake. I still play Doom ocassionaly.
Now if it's ultraviolence you're looking for, you should look to the real world.Ã, Sports like rugby, archery, billiards and the like offer much more rough housing than any computer game.Ã, And for true violence, try the new robot-sport fad of cow stomping.

Too difficult! I realized that I have never tried nightmare before. Made to level 6. Didn't save/load game. Then died. It's monster respawn that spoils the thing. Apart from that, doom2 can make a nice "stealth FPS" when using harder difficulty.
Nightmare with monster respawn off, and a few extra shotgun shells for start.... ahhh, I just love the sound of monsters crawling in their pain... ::)

Just came to me... they say the Ultimate episode (They Flesh Consumed) makes the other three seem like a walk in the park... well, it didn't for me...
(This thead is on the nightmare skill :P)
