Anyway, anyone tried that, hosted by gamespy...
So you talk through your mics on channels, sorta like irc but only for conversations...

Tried it before ... a few years ago.  I think that's what it was ... it didn't work very well.  We had a LAN set up that my roommies and I used to play UT (unreal tournament) on and that was how we commuicated back and forth.  It was neat, sorta, but the sound quality wasn't all that great.

This was a long time ago ... they've probably improved on it somewhat I'd guess since then.

yeah, well its more or less now depending on the cpu power and connection speed...
The cool thing is that it cost cheaper than the phone, but the bad thing is that its like, high ping... :(
Anyway, a good way to communicate  :)

Yahoo! Messenger has this ability when in chat rooms. I found it annoying, as it would always be a guy with a southern accent saying "Hey all them girls out dere, y'all wanna nice guy to 'rassle?" Meh. :P
