I suggest getting a proper firewall.  The XP one is pretty useless, and doesn't really stop anything. Check google for a free one, as I can't remember any.

I'm using Trend Micro's PC Cillin, which I find is a great anti-virus program. Of course, I acquired it through other means than exchanging of funds, but it still gets the latest updates and it is all yummy like... plus it has a great firewall.
