There are so many different forms of humor that different people find funny you can't expect everyone to agree.

I think it's a funny image. The same way I think jokes about dead babies are funny and people getting kicked in the nuts. I also find "higher"(whatever that is) forms of comedy funny.

The image is not really disgusting or in bad taste.

People aren't necessarily supporting the image like it's something that needs support, they just aren't freaking out at a drawing some dude made.

Dick and fart jokes are funny, in my opinion. Let people laugh at them and move on if it's so crazy offensive to you. The thread DOES have a warning.

It's rather tasteless and childish, but not offensive and/or disgusting. If he was asking us if the image from goatse.cx or something like that was suitable as an avatar that might be an appropriate reaction, but... well, he isn't.

I don't see what's offending about a penis. If you're not mature enough to see apenis then perhaps you shouldn't be using the internet anyway for things like forums where the word penis might be mentioned once or twice.

My guess it's people with problems with their sexuality of lack of genitals that actually feel offended when mentioned. It's not like it's something at least 90% of the men on this planet have. I sure hope that people who find shooting sperm offensive have kids who look like they're a product of a severe offense the only purpose of which was to harm people in all ways possible. Mine will look like I had sex with a woman.

So if I took a picture with my nose next to someone's a-hole, would it be less offensive than my penis next to it? How about if the penis in this picture here was not hard as it is now?

I'm not offended! I'm from scandinavia, so offense is very rare term in my life overall. I leave this "sport" of being offended about everything to americans and muslims (stereotyping here, eh).

But as heterosexual male, I don't enjoy looking at penis pics much. I prefer boobs and such

But thought of seeing pic like this near someone's posts all the time, it's kind of nauseating. Plus, I wouldn't take seriously anyone with such avatar. That's-- sick. But that's only my opinion.

But come on, photographic hardcore porn (which is what that would be) is in a somewhat different league to a cartoon arm-penis.

I'd agree that it's a bit silly and I wouldn't really like to see it used as an avatar, but then when shrunk down to avatar size it probably wouldn't be that recognisable anyway.
