I thought I'd heard all the bad jokes about Singapore before (the caning one is miiiighty old), but some of these are really bad. :P

Anyway... I'm probably the only active member from the Lion City here now, but I have no idea about your friend, hello123. Sorry :(

Sam.

Bye bye thankyou I love you.

I am not from Singapore.   :D  I am from the US.    :D   But sometimes I wish I were from Canada.   :D    But to look on the brightside, I always see it best...    :D   At last I'm not from Louisiana.    :D

thanks for the help, all!  well, i am giving up.  if nothing else, i found this thread to be extremely informative!  can someone (who knows) please respond to the following questions:

1- why is singapore called the lion city?

2-does singapore have a capital (i have heard that it does not)?

3 - is the major dialect there mandarin or english?

peace in the middle east!

Wasn't Don "The Barbarian" McPherson who you were looking for? Gord mentioned him in the second post of this thread.
If it's not him, I can't help you. I don't know any person who can sing, pour and teach at the same time.

Gilbert

Didn't know about the past of Barbarian, but as far as I know, he's living in Hong Kong at the moment.

Wikipedia knows all of this. I could reproduce it here, but you'll learn more from reading the article. :D

milkanannan

thanks!  it probably also has a definition for "too lazy to search" or "yearning for human contact", too!

:D

Sam.

I bought my iPod in singapore, it was very cheap. They use the same plug sockets as we do, so it was very easy to use at home to. I wish I was wfrom singapore.
Bye bye thankyou I love you.

You know ... I thought my luggage felt a tad heavier than usual.  I hope you guys are having fun with the mini-elephant and blow-up doll (it's for scientific experiments)
