I was at a random Kinney's store and they were selling Intellivisions, but for $200.00. I remember it but never played any games for it. I want to buy it but I am not sure if I should or not.
Think I should buy it?

Mugs

I have the Intellivision II.  It's a little cheaper than Atari, but it's still kinda fun.  I got it for free from someone so it doesn't matter that much.

Are you trying to buy an Intellivision I or II? I've never tried  the first one (I think it's the same thing, but not as cheap as  the second one.), so I wouldn't be able to help you if you wanted to buy an Intellivision I.

$200.00 dollars is a lot of money for an Intellivision,  so I don't know what to recommend.
Cool stuff I found out: Men are four times more likely to be struck by lightning than women.  Wow, really? [dirty joke] Maybe this has to do with the fact that us men have "lightning rods"? [/dirty joke]

Can't you get one of those Intellivision TV plug and play things, with 25 games on, for like 15 quid? Buy one of those, play it, then see if you want to spend $200 on a real one.

It had a few decent games for it, if memory serves, but nothing that you'd want to spend more than 5 minutes playing now.  :-\

EMULATOR

200 Dollars is re-damn-diculous for 30 year old technology.

If you want the thing, check eBay.  You could probably get it much cheaper.

Esseb

You misspelled ri-damn-diculous, Darth.

Also, I agree. Just get an emulator. It'll be easier to get hold of games also.

I have the Intellivision II.Ã,

Didn't know they had number two... but the first system is a wood-grain and metallic system with remote controls that are attached to the system.

I've only found Atari, Namco Classics and Tecmo Classics.

EMULATOR

Never thought of that!

I think I'll go with Darth's and Esseb's idea and get an emulator. But the problem is that some systems have no roms what so ever, but I hope to find some.

Emulators don't capture the nostalgia of playing a game on the actual system and dealing with its quirks.  I would recommend that rather than buying it at ripoff prices you have a look on ebay like this:

this one is up in an hour and only costs 38 bucks with 65 games o_o

Nice! I think playing the original systems do capture the nostalgia a lot more than emulators, but maybe I'll stick to an emulator because it's free. And because I am broke for the next two weeks...
