Yeah, that's what I meant -- a fast pool. But the way you described it sounds like mumbo jumbo. "Physics"?? What the hell is a "physics"?? Sounds more like sorcery to me!

GBR just got it's third medal this morning! w00t!

However, we aren't doing as well as we had hoped :-[

Privateer Puddin'

meh, we suck at sport :P

Kinoko

Australia's doing well, but I think Japan can be proudest of all right now. They're doing marvellously so far! Go them... I was -so- happy for the girl who won gold in her Judo division. She looked so happy.

Athirwen

I think China have won the most medals so far. I've been watching it religiously, I'm such a geek.

Privateer Puddin' we don't suck at sport, the athletics haven't even started yet and we're bound to pick up some medals there. And we've got the rowing, swimming, diving, individual gymnastics, archery and loads of other stuff that we're in the finals for.

Maybe I'm too much of an optimist ::)

Daz

Nothing wrong with looking on the "bright side of life." and we always win some kind of rowing medal and sailing, also in the might be in the medals for Badmington now :O

Timosity

I saw some stats last night, per head of population, United Arab Emirates were in the lead (1 gold, 1 medal in total)
Australia was 2nd, USA was 12th, GBR 2,600,042nd

Adamski

Boop boop, I just accidently saw the finals for Badminton. Nail-biting stuff!

Only because the British #1 had to pull out :P

I thought GBR weren't supposed to win many golds this Olympics... we've won 5 golds, 6 silvers and 7 bronzes so far, pretty good. I suppose we won't win anymore though since all our track athletes pretty much suck.  :=

Robert Eric

Didn't they used to kill cheaters and put up an embarrassing statue of them on the walkway to whatever stadium-type place they were held in?  If not, they should have.

I believe cheaters had to set up a statue of Zeus.

Lots of statues nonetheless.

That was a lucky escape, I was just about to deride the King of Sweden for only managing one bronze medal so far. :P

Andail

Ahem, first of all, take a look at the distance between Carolina and the runner up. It's close to historical record.

Also note that being a puny AGS-administrator would not mitigate the punishment for slandering the king of Sweden.

Esseb

Slandering the King of Sweden would be akin to flogging a dead horse. Pointless, yet hilarious.

Andail

While you lowly commoners chit-chat, another Swede won a gold medal!

Holm is now the person in the world who can leave the surface of the earth the highest distance without any tools.

Kudos to him.

Two more golds to Sweden!

Stefan Holm in the High-jump atÃ,  2,36 and
Christian Olsson in the triple-jump at 17,79!

*MrMasse sings the national anthem, translated to English, just for you:*

Thou ancient, Thou free, Thou mountain-crown'd north
Thou peacefull, Thou joyfull land, I love thee
I hail Thee as fairest of lands on this earth
Thy meadows green, the sun in heav'n above thee
Thy meadows green, the sun in heav'n above thee

Thou rest on Thy mem'ries of great ancient days
when honoured, Thy name flew far and wide
I know what You were and I now You always stay
I shall live and I shall die by Your side
I shall live and I shall die by Your side

Why is the word 'die' or 'death' in most national anthems?
