Title: Audio Looping (Non-AGS Question)
Post by: on Mon 05/03/2007 13:48:19
Howdy -

I'm sorry to be starting my first post on a topic distinct from the AGS Proper, but I think it's probably worth asking.

I need to loop background sounds I've recorded (e.g. ocean, wind, background hum) and I can manage that part of it noticeably in AGS;  however, there's a noticeable hitch when the audio loops around because the "ends" don't match.  Can anyone walk me through using an audio editing application (doesn't matter which one - I intend to purchase whatever I end up using to this end, and am currently using several trial programs to muck with volume and so-forth) to loop audio seamlessly?

Or even point me in the right direction!  Google has been of limited use so far.

Thanks a bunch, folks.

One programme I can think of is Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/).

Anyway, read the forum rules, this thread belongs in neither of the technical forums, as it's not about AGS problems. So it would be moved.

My apologies - I have indeed read the rules, this is an issue of misinterpretation on my part.  Shan't happen again.
