Sorry for being a pain but I've started getting this regularly on the forums:
I've just been ignoring it and clicking cancel and it seems to work fine - but I looked for other threads pointing this out and couldn't find one.
Ignore me if you're on top of it :-*
Yeah I've had it too, probably someone with an image (avatar or sig) hosted there?
Seems to be on Wyz' profile (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?action=profile;u=9528). Maybe 2dadventure.com?
It used to be Neole's domain and he had provided an upload script and webspace for AGSers to host small files.
It looks like the domain expired recently though; it went back to the provider, godaddy.com.
Mr Matti. Maybe mine too? Will check now.
I don't think so, M0ds. I didn't get it before accessing this thread. I've started getting it myself and it comes up every time in Icey's thread. Haven't tried anywhere else yet.
I know for certain mine is hosted there, I'll sort it out but this is going to be a major pain for a while I think! alot of people used that hosting!
Indieboy's avatar also
And Bulpapuck's.
And, wow, guess what? 2dadventure is probably down. The last time something like that happened it was on the ezboards. So hooray to global users!
General_knox as well.
The funny thing is, I didn't get this Authentication Required message until AFTER Ben created this thread. I blame him for all of this. :P

It's not really acting like an expired domain, and a whois search claims that it won't expire till July. Maybe the web admin just accidentally screwed up the authorization thingamaboings. They'll probably fix it soon enough and the problem will disappear.
Firefox folks can just right click on an offending image and select "block images from 2dadventure...".
Fixed my avatar and sig... But man does this suck.
My trophies and avatar are gone forever as my backups were on the harddrive of a computer that recently crashed... Real bad timing..
As I hosted virtually all of my pictures there, should I go through my previous posts to see what to remove (where it's possible)?
When I use to upload pics, there was a message that said 'Not for long term storage' or something like that.
Maybe it will return to normal. I just stick with photobucket, and used the other one for images i wanted to get on the forums quickly.
I'm getting this too.
Still, instead of forcing ALL people to block the site, troublemakers should remove references to the site.
..and there goes my favorite image host... :'(

GOT IT!. Read what RickJ posted. Firefox don´t have what he says but it is very near:
Go to Tools > Options> Content> Upload images auto > Exceptions
There you can specify the URL and...BLOCK IT! ;D ;D ;D
Whoops I seem to be a suspect here haha. How can I fix it?
your avatar mate!! Change it into something else or just remove the link it has now.
Fixed.
Also many screenshots in the games DB seem to link there and don't work anymore. Anyone who has published a game should check the screenshots.
Ah, good point, I just went and fixed 2 of mine.
Considering that a lot of people with games in the database aren't forum regulars anymore, wouldn't it be possible to solve this server wide by rerouting 2dadventure links to a replacement image (in much the same ways that bmp files show up as an "I'm with stupid" thumbnail)? If we rely on every single user fixing this himself the problem could persist for months or years.

I'm getting it here.
Would it be possible to make a database query, find all games that have their screenshots there and automatically pm the persons that made the game?
I fixed (I hope) all my posts linking to 2dadventure that I could change, but threads that have been locked will need an admin cleanup since we can't modify our own posts there.
It's this post (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/yabb/index.php?topic=14864.msg438468#msg438468) by Layabout.

FOREVER. Can somehow the admin just block or links from that site?
I emailed the domain owner about this a few days ago and he solved the problem, restoring the images and folder permission, so everything should be working fine now. I'll confirm with him shortly if no new issues are reported here. :)
OMG It.s.just.that.easy? Awwww

And...my images are back. Good news (well, at least for those who want to see my images ;) )...
Thank you, Fred! You've saved us all from the hassle of those damn password pop-ups. If only others had been as non-lazy as you. ;D

NOW GUYS CREATE A PHOTOBUCKET ACCOUNT AND START REPLACING THOSE LINKS. It'd be shit if this would happen again.
